Our mother fell and shattered her hip in September of 2021. It was a awful time to be in the hospital. Due to Covid restrictions, we were unable to see our mother in the hospital. With the severity of her injury, she was going to need extensive care. We live in Anchorage and there were no skilled nursing facilities available at the time. We talked with her doctor and asked him about the Maple Springs and Palmer. The question I had for him was, “Would you put your own mother here?” He had mentioned that it was a beautiful facility and that he would have no problem moving a family member there. So, at the end of September she was moved out to Palmer. It was a big deal for her as our mom has lived in Anchorage her whole entire life. The facility was amazing and the staff was more than accommodating. They showed nonstop kindness and attention to her needs. We are extremely thankful for their dedication to her care. Unfortunately, the accident amplified her dementia and she needed to go into a memory care facility. The Maple Springs in Anchorage was just opening and we transferred her to Anchorage. The staff there is amazing as well. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our mom. Dione Tuttle-White Anchorage
