If I could give a 0, I would. My mother was brought here for short term rehabilitation and has been neglected, was told if she doesn’t like it there to leave, etc. I’ve never met such a nasty group of staff members who are supposed to care for our loved ones. If you genuinely want what’s best and care for your loved ones, please avoid placing them here. I have never dealt with nastier/rude people in my life.

The staff is wonderful!!! My Mom is on the 3 rd floor and staff “The Best” The maintenance staff are always cleaning. Physical therapy dept exceptional!! The only reason I gave 4 stars is the food !! It could be better!! The are older people who have limitations !! I think you can do better!!

Do not let someone go here if you love them. You’ll never get them back or see them again. They see patients with dementia as “easy patients” who just sleep in beds, don’t need showers or basic care. Don’t let your loved ones be exposed to this neglect, abuse, and tunneling wounds. Fight to get them out and into another facility.

My Mom has been at the Manor at Penn Village for Short Term Rehab for a few weeks now and we can both honestly say this has been one of the best experiences for her in the area. (Note that I can’t speak for the Long Term Care). Sure, the building could use a few updates to make it feel more modern, but overall, the care has been genuinely great and that’s what matters the most. Like most on the short term wing, my Mom has a private room with a peaceful view of the internal courtyard. Her room is kept clean daily and her bed is always made. Call bell response times are generally prompt, and the care team constantly checks on her to make sure she is ok. Her meals arrive on time and she is always ready on time for her transportation to dialysis and other appointments. When I call with questions or concerns, they are handled seriously and quickly. I have trust that my Mom is being taken care of without my constant oversight. She gets a shower twice a week without fail (every time she is supposed to) and they even groom her face each time to make sure she is comfortable. Physical therapy ensures she is well worked out and on the journey to come home. Every time I visit my Mom, she’s happily in her recliner or bed and looks and feels happy - unlike her other nursing home stays. There are a few standout staff members that we would love to call out for their gracious care of my mother: Stephanie in admissions was so helpful to the family and I during Karen’s transition from hospital to here. Maura, Karen’s nurse, is so on it and deeply cares about her. Kate has been also helpful and friendly. Christian, her CNA, is a rockstar and very prompt with assistance and never makes my mom feel embarrassed or guilty for pushing the call button. And Jenn, her OT, reliably gets her ready for the day with a smile and does exercises with her to make sure she will be successful at home. Long story short - my Mom’s experience at Manor at Penn Village has been excellent. Her private room is conducive to her healing, physical therapy had been thorough, care and call bell response time has been speedy and typically positive, and she is overall very happy and feels more prepared to come home every day! Thank you Manor at Penn Village team!
