Update: The Executive Director and the Nurse who went above and beyond for the residents have resigned. The VP overseeing things has come through like a tornado and spends her time on the phone behind a closed door. She only interacts with the family to tell us what she thinks we need to be doing differently (that will make them more money). There are temporary nurses cycling through and constantly asking for the same paperwork claiming the person who resigned didn't do things correctly. Fortunately, the care staff has stayed on and my mother passed November 2025 so we are only having to deal with them for my father-in-law. I am concerned that if they continue to treat the staff and families the way they are now things will significantly decline fast. A new Executive Director and Nurse have been hired to start at the end of March 2026. We are all waiting to see if they will be able to get things back on track with the residents care as a priority. My mom has been in assisted living over the last 10 years and this has been the best one. We have been here the longest and enjoy the small community feel. The core staff have been there over 5 years and the new management company has continued the staff benefits and living wages. The care takers are patient and responsive when called to help. The administration is quick to address any concerns I have. The new activity director takes the time to find something that interests each resident and involves all the residents in planning events. They have recently added a monthly support group meeting for care givers that’s open to anyone. Overall, this is a good place with caring people.

Went to look for an assisted living facility for my mom. Talked to Keelie who did a great job in answering all our questions. She was very professional in her presentation. She even took the time to call me back and to remind me if I needed anything else to call anytime. So if you are in need of a facility, I highly recommend talking with Keelie.

Never enough staffing...should really be looked into and questions asked when deciding on a facility...

This place is PHENOMENAL. I have never seen ANY place that cared so much for its' residents. The employees are kind and helpful, they are cheerful and positive. A GREAT ENVIRONMENT for anyone, but ESPECIALLY for those who cannot live alone any longer. The activity director has SO MANY activities every day. Fun things. I mean, WAY WAY more than BINGO (and I'm not dissing BINGO, it's fun). But FIELD TRIPS, movies, games, - there is so much for residents to be involved in and the employees are constantly helping the residents to GET INVOLVED! Cheery atmosphere, contests, kind employees. A SAFE environment. I am SO impressed with #mackenziecourt. A classy place who are WAY WAY above the competition. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I was helping a friend move her parents in today. The place was nice, but it felt hostile to me. I almost had a panic attack because I couldn't find anyone to let me out. And why are y'all still mandating masks?!
