Lowell Place is a subsidized senior housing community in Bakersfield, California, serving residents age 62 and older and individuals with mobility or sensory impairments. Rent at Lowell Place is income-based, with residents paying approximately 30% of their adjusted gross income as monthly rent. The remainder is subsidized through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). A Social Service Coordinator is available to assist residents in obtaining services for their personal needs.

The community welcomes pets; fish and birds are allowed without a deposit, while residents may keep one small dog or cat with a pet deposit (minimum $50, maximum $150). The community maintains a waiting list for new applicants.
