Short on nursing staff. I came in because I broke my arm and they did NOT do any kind of therapy. The food was pretty good but never once worked with my arm!!! All they worked with was my balance and walking. Some stuff was extremely friendly and some were extremely rude. The food was pretty good, however, I didn’t stay a whole week because they were not working with me on my arm. Plus, you only get two baths a week! I was in the shower and slid right out of the wheel chair and fell out on my bottom.

My mother was in Loris Nursing Home for 2 years and as a family we were extremely pleased with the care and attention she received, especially after a horrible experience at another place. Prior to entering Loris, my mother regularly suffered from UTIs, one of which became septic. After entering here, she never had another. Staff were always pleasant and cared about her welfare, from the admin to the person who swept her room. They accommodated all of our visits and any meetings we asked for, which was helpful as I was coming in from out of state. I have a family member who works in elder care, and she was always pleased with the cleanliness and care she saw at the facility. When she passed, they gave us time to clear her room and took care of details so we could spend our final time together. My mother (notoriously picky) even loved the food there! As a family, we considered ourselves lucky to have found Loris Nursing.

My mom was there for a couple weeks and staff seemed pleasant. The business office coordinater, Morgan, was pleasant going in an unprofessional upon exit. We where trying to get Medicaid for mom and she expressed we might want to cancel her Medicare since that won't be needed. Upon not being able to get the Medicaid we took her to a less expensive facility. As she said in the beginning they will help with getting information on other places if she could not stay. That was a lie! I was notified from the new facility that mom's Medicare was cancelled as of Monday. I called Morgan and asked why did you cancel mom's Medicare and her reply it was in the information we were given. I asked what was the number so I could call to cancel the insurance she changed to and her reply was I don't know I googled it, WOW how professional!!!!

Loris Rehab and Nursing Center is excellent. The building itself is beautiful and spacious. Brock and her staff are very skilled and provide excellent care. Managing the patients needs. The Therapy team is knowledgeable and compassionate. Delivering functional based programs that help patients meet their goals. The Wilson Group is a Leader in SC
