My mother received the best care at Lorian. All of the staff was very nice. The doctor assigned to her on the rehab was very knowledgeable. If not for his care, she would not have gotten to baseline health. I was so please with their care. Everyone really cares about their clients.

Really should be a zero. I started out being very pleased with Lorien. I thought that I found a place that had some standards. My mom was first in another facility, it was horrible form the minute you open the front door. Lorien seemed to be a god sent for us. During my mother's stay, she was able to elope twice. The first time I did not think anything of it. the second time was uncalled for. The last year in a half, we started to notice big changes in my mothers behaviors. My family and I kept asking for some cognitive testing. Her behaviors got so bad that it was difficult to visit with her. I realize that she was a difficult patient and I tried to reason with her about that. During her last month at Lorien. On Monday, March 9th , I received a call telling me that that my mother had a panic attack and needed some breathing treatments, they were able to calm her down. Wednesday my mom called me stating that she did not feel well. I told her to ask the nurse for another breathing treatment. After that I hear nothing until Friday around 5:30. I was called by the nursing supervisor that my mom called 911 for herself, now prior to that I was told that patients are not allowed to call 911 and asked them to not let her go. Staff told me that the EMT's said she had to go. Saturday afternoon the hospital called telling me that my mother was in acute respiratory failure, and that she was crying for me. when I finally got there we talked to her for a while, she was very agitated and needed meds to calm her down. The following Monday after visiting with her the nurse pulled me aside and told me that she put in for a palliative care assessment. On Tuesday they called to schedule a palliative meeting with my mom and myself. I went, my mother was sleeping, so I was having the meeting alone. Palliative care was explained, I asked f she would be transferred back to Lorien on palliative care. Her answer was "NO, your mom is dying". she has END STAGE dementia and acute respiratory failure, she would be discharged back to Lorien on Hospice. My mom lasted 10 days after that. All along she was really sick. Thank God she called herself an ambo. She would have passed in the most uncomfortable way. Hospice provided the meds she needed to stay pain free and less agitated. Now that a little over a month has passed and I am not doing all the paperwork and process that come with a death, I find myself so angry with Lorien. The last year and especially the last month of her life and that of her families could have had such better quality and meaning. With Lorien not exploring why her behaviors were so bad and not listening to my request, my mother's last several months were horrible for her and everyone else The outcome would have not changed, however we would know why and treatments could have helped so much. I hope that the standard of care they are supposed have will now be.

Lorien Bel Air provided superb care for my husband during his recovery from major spinal surgery. Navigating the logistics of sub-acute rehabilitation can be overwhelming, but the Admissions Director, Nick Restivo, was instrumental in making the transition seamless and ensuring we felt supported from day one. Also the team ensured we received the exact support we needed at the most critical moments. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional; the care from the nursing, physical, and occupational therapy teams was truly stellar. In particular, the dedication shown by Olivia Dixon in Physical Therapy and Sierra Wright in Occupational Therapy provided the expertise my husband needed to progress. Olivia had a remarkable intuition for his recovery, knowing exactly when to offer encouragement, when to challenge him, and when to prioritize rest. Similarly, Sierra provided the focused, practical strategies he needed to regain his independence, ensuring he felt empowered and prepared for his transition home. Thanks to the foundation laid by the Lorien staff, my husband has reached incredible milestones on his healing journey. We are forever grateful to have had them as a partner in his recovery. If you are looking for a true partner in recovery, I highly recommend this facility.

My wife Sandy came home today after spending four weeks in Lorien of Bel Air. I don’t think her recovery would have been as fast and complete without their loving care. support, and physical therapy. The staff there, and I mean all the staff, were wonderful and I could tell from her very first day there they really cared. I must say there were a few tears this morning when we left, as both Sandy and I got a little attached to her care team, they are indeed wonderful people and Lorien is better because of them.

Loren Bel Air is a great facility. Everyone at Lorien has treated me very well. When I say everyone I mean everyone... Nick, Sarah, Gabby, Denmark, Princess, (everyone and more names I forgot.) Maintenence came up immediately to show me how to use the TV, Housekeeping has my room and all areas spotless clean. All Nurses. Techs, Aids, PT & OT, Social Worker. Activities Worker. Front Reception Desk, Dietary, so genuinely kind and caring. I liked the food too. Everyone treated my wife with kindness and accommodated her, plus Nick & Sara went out of their way and allowed my wife to stay with me overnights. My family members that had been patients at Bel Air Loren have rated Loren Bel Air very highly and I can see why. It's so great here that I don't care when I leave. Thanks Loren! Sincerely, Frank
