The facility is newly remodeled, clean, and free from the unpleasant conditions we previously experienced. The staff members have consistently demonstrated professionalism, compassion, kindness, and genuine concern for the well-being of their residents. Knowing that my brother is safe and receiving quality care allows me to rest peacefully at night.<br><br>In stark contrast, our experience at BRIA of Cahokia Heights was deeply troubling. The conditions and level of care we encountered were unacceptable and, in my opinion, reflected serious deficiencies in professionalism and resident treatment. I believe facilities entrusted with vulnerable individuals should be held to the highest standards of accountability. Rather than simply imposing fines, I believe stronger corrective actions and comprehensive recertification measures should be considered to ensure residents receive safe, dignified, and competent care.<br><br>I am especially thankful that Life Care Center of St. Louis is centrally located and affiliated with a healthcare community that includes Saint Louis University School of Medicine, one of the nation’s most respected academic medical institutions. The building was clean, smelled fresh and sanitized. The lobby is nicely decorated and is very inviting. The resident room I was visiting, was also very clean. My friend who is a resident, was also clean and well taken care of. I also appreciated the security system in place to keep the facility safe and residents from wandering off their respective flors. The staff were all professional, courteous and kind. I was pleased wth my first visit to The Life Care Center of St Louis and I look forward to coming back to visit again.
