My mother used Life Care Center of Seneca for several rehab stays before ultimately living there permanently when she could no longer live at home safely. This was a hard adjustment but the friendly staff, excellent nursing and rehab care, and engaging activities helped her make the transition with the peace of mind knowing this was the best place to finish out her final years of life.

My grandma has been a resident for several years and they are taking great care of her! That lady gets to do so many fun activities and they do a great job of posting pictures on Facebook! I feel like she’s basically the face of that place at the moment. Along with probably being the sassiest lady around 😂

My mother and father in law were placed at life care the process went very well life care made them feel like home. If there was a medical problem life care did everything possible to get what they needed. The food is good. Life care gets everyone to participate in activities. My father in law passed in March 2026. Life care did what it took to accommodate my mother in law in the loss of her husband. Life Care is awesome. I give Lifr Care and Staff 5 stars. Thank You

One month ago my mother, at the age of ninety four and a half, fell at home, fracturing five ribs. It was discovered she also had a fractured sacrum. Needless to say, her prognosis was not good and it was a very difficult time for family, but in spite iof the horrific pain, she wanted to try to get stronger and family was iin agreement. Life Care Center most graciously offered to pick mom up from the hospital in Topeka and transfer her as comfortably as possible. LCC is a beautiful facility, which is very clean and very accommodating to family and residents. They allowed family to decorate Mom's room to make it seem more like home. Also, family can visit whenever they want and enjoy meals with her. The meals are wonderful with dishes such as beef tips over mashed potatoes, gravy, barbecued chicken, biscuits and gravy... It is not uncommon to see a father and son sitting at a dining room table visiting in the evenings or a mother bringing in an ice cream sundae. Mom was not only evaluated by a new physician, but also by the experienced nursing staff, social services, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist, which also evaluates a person's abilities to swallow food and liquids without aspirating. They make recommendations and the dietary department works very diligently to ensure people's dietary needs are met and the texture of food and drink meet the recomendations ordered. They also work diligently to make the foods that do need special accommodations very similar to what is served to others; tasty as well as nutritious. My mother has had to be hospitalized several times since her admission and there has been no hesitation on behalf of the staff in getting her the assistance that she needed. One of the best things for my husband and I is to sit outside on the beautiful patio with our mother on Sunday evenings among beautiful and fragrant flowers, a bubbling water fountain, hummingbirds at their feeders and trees filled with birds of all types. My mother enjoys listening to the birds and watching them from the big picture window in her room. We are all very thankful for the care that Mom is getting and to everyone for making this transition much easier for all of us.
