My first visit to this facility was anything other than welcoming. The dining hall was overrun with flies, food spills on the floor and tables. In my Mom’s room there was trash on the floor. It was so difficult leaving her in that environment. However, I did begin to see in the next couple of weeks a big decrease in the number of flies in the rooms and especially in the dining room. I have to give props to the nurses there. I only knew one of their names and it was Nurse Jazlyn. She answered our questions with true professionalism. She is to be highly commended for her dedication, commitment and compassion for our Mom and the other patients. One big issue was gaining access in & out of the facility. There was a code that was required and it was public knowledge. Sometimes the code worked and sometimes it didn’t, leaving visitors standing outside waiting to be coded in. I’m not sure what can be done to remedy that. Any one who’s up to no good can easily get inside. Thank you!
