I don’t even want to give a one star rating! My advice is definitely not send your loved one there unless they are capable of caring for their own basic needs. Legacy stays shorthanded and very few actually care or have the time for someone that needs extra care. We were there every day for about 8 weeks. When we asked for help or needs it took hours or days and if they even did it at all. It could be something simple but needed. Example they removed her arm sling for the wash It took 4 days to put her arm sling back on. No exaggeration here, 4 days and that was after asking them every day to please put it back on! Once she was all but falling out of her wheelchair before they came to take her out after I asked several times, it was so bad that I had to hold her from falling out until they finally came. I once asked for a chair for her elderly husband and was given a broken chair!! Unbelievable I know!! While we were there for 4-6 hours every day they never came in to check her briefs or turn her that is until a few days before we transferred her they got word we were taking her out. Then they acted like they couldn’t help her enough! After about 8 weeks of neglect from the Legacy nursing home she was transferred to Landmark and they did what they could but it was too late, she died six days later. I could say so much more but it already sounds unbelievable that this place is still open!! My Aunt went there after having fractures from a fall, she was not sick when she arrived, but we are convinced we lost my dear Aunt because of Legacy nursing home neglect, which is a failure to provide necessary care for residents health, safety and well being.
