My name Jane Hecksher my husband Paul Hecksher is a patient in Laurel manor. The care your facility provided for my husband was excellent and above and beyond our expectations. Staff was always friendly and provided anything to comfort my husband and myself through this most difficult time. I would rate Laurel Manor a solid 10. If my husband is in need of care in the future, your facility would be my husband and my first choice. I thank you and the entire team for the excellent care. Paul and Jane Hecksher

From the first time I walked through the doors of Laurel Manor. I felt nothing but compassion and love. The staff and management are fantastic and unlike a lot of places I’ve been to the food is great. If you would like an experience like I had bring your relatives in your family to Laurel Manor in Stratford New Jersey they will be safe and loved like I was. Thank you.

My family member was a patient/resident at Laurel Manor for 3 months. I have a reasonable amount of experience with family members or friends having to spend time in this kind of facility. Laurel Manor offers excellent care. It is clean, well staffed, and the staff seemed content in their roles. My family member was a difficult person to deal with at times. The staff was patient and did everything possible to make her stay comfortable and to meet her needs. Communication with me was excellent and always helpful. I highly recommend Laurel Manor.

If great care is on the top of your list then laurel manor is the place to go. The staff is top notch and really care for thier patients. There are some down sides like small shared rooms, and 4 patients share a bathroom. It's like the shared bathroom in the tv show the Brady bunch. The bathrooms are very clean much like the whole place. I once saw a person on hands and knees scrubbing the baseboards in the hallway. That goes a long way in my book. The food is not bad as far as nursing homes go although most meals are lukewarm at best when they arrive. The rehabilitation room is on the smaller side but the staff is great and very careful with patients. One helpful tip I would like to add is if your your placing a loved one there in the warmer months, bring a small fan to move the air around the room.

t has taken me nearly a year to write this because the experience was so traumatic, but I feel obligated to warn others. From the moment you walk into this facility, something feels off. Staff avoid eye contact, communication is minimal, and there is a clear lack of accountability. One day, I walked in and found my mother-in-law completely naked in her room. There were multiple staff members present when I came in and out, all of whom recognized me, yet no one said a word. I assumed they were in the process of cleaning or changing her, so I stepped out to give them privacy and waited in my car for about 45 minutes. When I returned, she was still there—alone, naked, and unattended. I approached staff for answers. One nurse avoided me entirely, and another claimed she had “just” been trying to call us because my mother-in-law needed to be transferred to the hospital. There was no sense of urgency, no clear communication, and no explanation for why she had been left in that condition for so long. She was septic. She later passed away from sepsis. To make matters worse, when we later returned to pick up her belongings and new clothing, only about a third of her items were returned to us. No family should ever have to witness something like this or question whether their loved one is being properly cared for. A rehabilitation center is supposed to provide dignity, safety, and medical attention. In our experience, this facility failed in all of those responsibilities. I would strongly urge others to think very carefully before trusting this place with someone you love.
