Excellent physical therapy, very thorough and helpful with whatever injury you may come in with. Every aspect of independent living is addressed. Family members are encouraged to be frequent visitors which always helps keep spirits high for the patients who may have to spend a bit longer than most. Very pleasant stay, recommend it highly. Thanks for everything!!

Testimony for Laurel Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center While I am posting this under Google Reviews for Laurel Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, what follows is truly a testimony. Like many people, I often read reviews to help me make decisions about a product or service I am considering. I never imagined I would one day be writing something about a facility as phenomenal as Laurel Brook. Recently, I found myself in need of rehabilitation services after emergency surgery. Having also recently navigated the world of hospitals and rehab centers for an elderly parent, I already understood how challenging these situations can be. It is also important to understand that time is not on your side. Decisions often need to be made quickly, and arming yourself with as much information as possible is key to making the best healthcare decision. If you or a loved one needs rehab, I cannot stress this enough: visit the facility in person. The internet is helpful, but when it comes to healthcare, nothing replaces seeing a place for yourself and deciding whether it feels like the right environment for recovery. That is how I came to Laurel Brook. While I was still in the hospital, I gave my fiancé a list of facilities and said, “I need you to visit these places, give me your opinion, and choose one for me.” He did not have time to make appointments. He simply drove from place to place, walked in, and explained that I was in the hospital, needed a rehab center, and that a decision had to be made that day. After visiting several facilities, he came back and said, “You need to go to Laurel Brook.” I said, “Okay.” He told me that when he walked in the door, he spoke with Ms. Monica and explained what he needed. From there, he met with Kelsie, the Admissions Director, who gave him a tour and explained the care and services the facility had to offer. He said that as he walked through Laurel Brook, the appearance of the facility, the atmosphere, and the people all gave him what he needed to know: this was the place where I could get back on track. He had already visited some places that were clearly not the right fit, even though their website photos suggested otherwise. That made his confidence in Laurel Brook mean even more. After navigating all the additional details—doctor’s orders, insurance clearances, and the many overwhelming parts of the discharge process—I was transferred to Laurel Brook. From the moment I entered the facility, I felt reassured that this had been an excellent choice for my rehabilitation. One of the first things I noticed about Laurel Brook is that people genuinely talk to you. They engage with you as a person, not just as a patient. Everyone involved in my care at Laurel Brook has had an important impact on my recovery. From Monique in Guest Services, who helped me get familiar with the layout of the facility, to Mimi, who made sure the necessary appointments were scheduled, to the nurses who administer my medication, Dawn runs a tight ship, to the aides who respond when I press the call bell, to Sabrina, the Housekeeping Director, who helped me navigate laundry services, to Nell, Director of Therapy, and the team I came here to work with so I could get back on my feet—every one of them has played a role in helping me heal. There are many more departments and people than I can reasonably name here, and I want each of you to know how deeply grateful I am. Your constant kindness, your check-ins, your smiles, and your positive attitudes have helped me in ways that are difficult to fully express. I am not sure all of you realize just how valuable that has been during this time. I am only here short term, but if this testimony helps someone else make a difficult healthcare decision for themselves or for someone they love, then it is worth sharing. To the staff of Laurel Brook, please accept my sincere and humble thank-you. Know that Laurel Brook is a strong and reliable choice for rehabilitation and healthcare. UPDATE: I am home! THANK YOU for the beautiful sendoff yesterday. I love you all!

My Dad was admitted as a patient after a fall at home and subsequent surgery. During his admission at Laurel Brook, he consistently commented on how pleasant the staff was throughout his stay. That includes the dialysis staff as well! Everyone checked in frequently, had a smile and went out of their way to make his stay as comfortable as they could. He received a good amount therapy and progressed quickly to his goals. Anytime our family had a question, the staff was always friendly/approachable and had answers for us. I feel like we were kept in the loop. The professional staff (doctors and nurse practitioners) provided excellent care. The discharge process was smooth and well communicated. Overall, he did really well and felt strong by the time he was able to return home. I’m very grateful to Laurel Brook for taking such good care of their patients!

We have been to 9 different facilities over the past 2 years and this was the best one by far. Everyone from the doctor to the aids were amazing. They took great care of my mom until the end. I am grateful that we found them :)
