Independent Living is fantastic. Assisted Living is unbeatable. Rehab is the best in town. However if you get moved to the care center, make sure you have a watchful advocate!

We have lived in our apartment in Independent Living here at Lakeview Village for two years and love this community. Meals, housekeeping are taken care of, and health care is readily available if we would need it, but we have the freedom to travel, visit with good friends here, and enjoy our retirement without the worries of maintaining a property. Holidays here are special when our family comes to visit and stay in the comfortable guest quarters near our apartment. We can share meals and visit without my having to go to all the extra work of entertaining. Most importantly, we've given our kids the gift of not having to worry about us, and they can enjoy their own lives too.

Throughout mom’s entire stay at Lakeview Village, they did not consult with me (medical and financial POA) prior to making their decisions and determinations with one exception. Lakeview Village administration had the Social Worker send me a text the Friday before mom moved over to an assisted living facility demanding full payment before mom checked out – no invoice – just a text saying the final amount needed to be paid now, on a Friday before mom was to check out the following Monday. During her stay I asked three times for a direct doctor consult which never happened and also asked three times for an appointment with administration which never happened. The Social Worker was over her head and of very little help. An absolutely awful experience all the way around - and the bills keep coming months later after you have paid in full. Avoid Lakeview Village and take your loved ones elsewhere.

We've waited 15 - 30 min. for someone to help my mother use the restroom where employees sat at the desk where the alert lights are used and take their time getting to the room. Mom is often left waiting in a wet diaper. Employees are often in the dining room when it is not being used, unused rooms, or seated in the large gathering space on their cell phones. I particularly wish employees were more engaged with elderly residents in wheelchairs were gathered in the main entry. We were told they gathered residents here for social engagement - but no one is socially engaged. The lack of engagement between residents and staff on their phones makes Lakeview advance patient care a very lonely place to be. I really felt you treat the elderly very poorly. No communication between family member and staff. I am not sure where you got your rating 3 stars, but it did not come from the Rehabilitation floor. Please treat our precious and most valuable senior with respect, no like they do not matter! They do matter!
