I've had an order in since Dec. 8th to get assistance for my Mom. I am now extremely concerned that my mom will get UTI and/or sepsis like she had in November and spent 4 days in hospital with. She was scolded once at er at KRMC for doing cathater change there for misusing ER resources so we made sure we were ahead of it. We have a urologist in Las Vegas but we told him our new PCP here could set up home health for us. I called after not hearing anything for a few weeks and was told there is a computer system issue in their network so they never got order unless it was faxed. I contacted PCP to fax it even though the gal found the order in their system. So, I'm thinking great, we got this. So, I called this week starting to panic a little. I was told they didn't have a "face to face," so they couldn't proceed. I called pcp on Thursday. Didn't hear back from anyone. I'm trying to get the urologist in Vegas to get me an appt or set up home health. Mom is now 5 weeks with needing this changed. I don't want to "misuse' ER resources but what the hell am I supposed to do?
