It's all about the staff Nursing homes are a crap shoot. Pick the wrong one and you can be miserable or come out feet first. Knopp Health care and Rehabilitation center in Fredericksburg is different. They treat you like family. The nurses and the patient care team are on the ball and care. Even the patient drivers are friendly, careful, and helpful. One patient care employee even went above and beyond to come in early to bring me a guitar strap he owned. Rehabilitation is serious business. The crack rehab team is 100% professional. Very well organized and they bring joy to the work. I came out stronger than I have been in years. Dining is a pleasure. The whole staff pitches in to deliver clients the delicious meals quickly and plenty of it. No need to sit in your room and mope, some kind of recreation or entertainment is offered every day. Participate or not, your choice. I have experienced several nursing homes. Knopp is the best one of those. The staff is the difference.
