I want to be fair in saying that no nursing home is perfect, and when you have a loved one in one, frequent visits and advocacy are extremely important. Unfortunately, my experience here was not a good one. I had a parent placed at this facility, and the quality of care was highly variable from nurse to nurse. Between visits, phone calls were rarely answered, which was especially concerning because my parent was not able to answer the phone independently. This made it very difficult to get timely or accurate information about their condition. We were told my parent would be taken to activities and events, but that did not happen, despite repeated assurances. Additionally, health updates were often inaccurate or incomplete, and scheduled medical appointments were not consistently followed through on.

I have a parent who came to Keswick after major back surgery. The length of stay was a little over a month. During that time and from other experiences I've learned that the care of our senior population is not an exact science. At Keswick I found some of the very best staff that has cared for my parent. The social worker, charge nurse, and support team all rate heads and shoulders above any group that I have experienced. For one the place is super clean and void of the lingering oder one often finds in establishments that serve the aged. The most comforting element of Keswick is the genuine kindness of the majority of the saff. They communicate with warmth without stepping beyond thier individual professional assignment. I felt that my parent was in the hands of people who cared. My one complaint is huge! My 84 year old parent came to Keswick after major back surgery. One would think that contact with the assigned doctor would happen without question, but it didn't. The assigned physician did not respond to five days of messages from me and her own staff. I was only able to have contact with the doctor by laying in wait after learning that she was making rounds. This detached disposition continued through two hospitalizations where communication was of the utmost importance. All of the programing souronding rehabilitation, meetings, discharge, etc. lacks the presence of the assigned physician. I can only think that the workload is huge; the population difficult, but this extremely important domain needs development as the doctor was a non factor (aside from perceptions) in my parents care.

I want to share how grateful I am for Wanda, the manager at Keswick, who has made an incredible difference in my family’s life. Her compassion is unmistakable, and her intelligence shows in the way she handles every situation with calm, confidence, and genuine care. Because of Wanda, I feel completely at ease knowing my mom is in good hands. The level of attention, kindness, and professionalism she provides makes Keswick feel less like a nursing home and more like a five-star retreat. She creates an environment where residents are treated with dignity, warmth, and respect — and where families feel supported every step of the way. Wanda is truly exceptional, and I’m deeply thankful for everything she does.

My personal experience has been wonderful. The staff is professional and caring. My mom is a patient and this is her second time being a patient. I am so pleased and thankful that she’s there. I can rest at night and not worry. Keswick is a lovely place. I would highly recommend this facility. Love their cleanliness also

My mother has dementia and has been at Keswick for 3.5 years. She has a private room (all rooms are single occupancy) with her own bathroom which includes toilet/sink. She has a beautiful large window with a large windowsill that we have filled with flowering plants. The room is comfortable and bright. The staff is wonderful, I have come to know all the staff that care for my mother and there has been no turnover in all the years she has been a resident. They all care for her with grace and patience (more than I have sometimes). Keswick offers daily activities, many of which we attend. Especially the Musical Encounters activity which brightens my mom as she likes to sing along and clap to the music. I highly recommend this facility and I am grateful that this is where my mother will spend her last stage of life.
