This is a wonderful place for rehab or long term care. The professional and very personable staff help the loved ones in their care know their needs will be met. So many smiles! Katy Manor s located in a beautiful neighbor. Landscape and yard care is top notch. We were allowed to place a bird feeder/post outside the window. Activities director is a crackerjack at her post! Nursing staff are top notch! Meals are nutritional and served with a smile. Thank you to all administrators, medical team members, and housekeeping staff! God sees each one of you serving well! ❤️

I worked at Katy Manor in the late nineties. It was a great place then. BUT, my mother lived there for less than a year in 2023-24. The CNAs/nurse taped her call button to the cabinet next to her bed - high where she could not reach it. This happened multiple times when my siblings and I came to visit. Because she was bedbound, they would “forget” to get her up and feed her breakfast. My mother was 90-91 and always cold. The heat was always on in her room. One 50-degree day I went in and the temperature felt odd, so I checked the heater/air conditioner and the A/C was on full blast. Look, I get it, it sucks to work in that heat, but turn the heater back on before you leave! The man who lived next door to Mom would scream “Help!” all the time. The CNAs and nurses just told him to “be quiet!” There was no discussion about why he was yelling for help that I ever saw. He then disappeared overnight - I am assuming his family moved him to another facility. I went in once and Mom was hanging half out of her bed, sound asleep. I had to have help to haul her back onto the bed. There were a few CNAs that tried to help my mom. But overall we were told “that doesn’t happen” (especially about the call button being removed from Mom) when we had proof it did.

Fabulous staff who care. During this time of COVID-19 lockdown of nursing homes around the country, the staff at Katy Manor have gone the extra mile to help use interact with parents (my in-laws) as much as safely possible. My wife and I visit her parents at the window 3 times daily. Often the staff help with answering the FaceTime call on the iPad or turning on the music on the iPad or taking in special snacks to our parents. We appreciate the staff at Katy Manor. Thank you.
