My father was a patient here for a short time before we moved him out of there. We had constant issues with him getting his meds on time or even at all. Several times we were called by my dad due to a panic attack because he wasn't getting the care he needed. Then the staff would appear. The food was horrible and nowhere near enough. We were bringing in food from home just to make sure he got to eat at least one decent meal a day. We were treated poorly once we said we were leaving. I was talking with a care provider and the owner walked by and demanded that the staff member quit talking with me and in her words get to work and not talking with family members. Um we were discussing my dad's cares. But ok. Now my dad is home and my mom and I are making sure hes getting cared for.

If you have a family member that needs to go into a Assistant Living don't but them in Hope Stay Assistant Living because if I could I would give them a zero note a 1. I had to put my mom in Black River Falls Nursing Home because she needed rehab because she broke her left leg by her hip and she broke her right leg. I asked Hope Stay how it happened and they had no answer for it. Then the head head Nurse said that they would store her stuff until we found her a place. I called out there because I wanted to check and see if her stuff was still there and they went and got rid of it. I called Hope Stay and told them that I broke my leg and I asked if they can hold it for me. Her room had stuff that can't get replaced like that picture of her grandkids and Christmas gift that she got. But what has my really upset is that my mom needs a Power Chair and they got rid of her Power Chair and she can't walk at all.

Do not be fooled with smooth talking careless owners, and staff at Hope Stay !! My father was treated like an animal with zero respect given by staff to which we had addressed numerous issues numerous times for nothing to ever be changed til contacting the state ( others also did during his time there)!! The facility would then put a band aid on the issues just to slide by . My father would lay in a wet bed for hours, room would be dirty days in a row , missing equipment he needed to thrive, terrible food (or lack of quantity), snippy/mean nurses !! We do have proof of this and every other issue. So if the facility wants to deny deny deny I say go ahead, and look like fools !! We are absolutely thankful to have found a facility in West Salem where my father is flourishing and nearly back to his old self before nearly dying at Hope Stay !! I’m not sure why I can’t post pictures for others absolutely need to see these!! In closing avoid HOPE STAY AT ALL COSTS !!!

If you send your loved ones here, please check on them daily. Staff isn't drug tested or even a background check done. Owner, Chue, sweeps a lot under the rug. Example being medication errors, dropped personal cares, and unsafe protocols.
