I am a double total knee replacement patient, and I am coming to the end of my journey with Steve Loy, a physical therapist for your company. When I knew I had to undergo my first knee replacement surgery, even though I read the reams of material you receive at physicians' offices to prepare you, nothing is more life jarring than arriving at home, groggy from medication, and in searing pain. I tried to move my knee for the first time. I was terrified. Even though loved ones try their best to support you, having the assistance of a highly skilled physical therapist to help you mentally and physically through recovery is invaluable. Steve was tremendously professional and helped me put things in perspective. Regardless of my perceived level of success, Steve was consistently positive and encouraged me in every visit. He was directly responsible that I recovered so quickly. Steve never hesitated to answer my questions, even though many of them were to calm my fears. With each visit, not only did my flexibility improve, my confidence did, as well. I was so pleased with Steve's skill, candor, professional demeanor, and tremendous empathy that I requested his services for a second time for physical therapy services after my second surgery in March 2019. I have had physical therapists in the past, all knowledgeable, all professional, but Steve is someone special. He is truly gifted for physical therapy--it allows him to share his professional skills and personal attributes to encourage his patients and facilitate their recovery. Six months ago, my days began in uncertainty and tears because I could not walk. Today, I can stand with pride on two new knees because of Steve's perseverance and kindness. The right physical therapist not only heals limbs, he changes lives. Steve is a tremendous testimonial to this. Because of his expert guidance, each day becomes more wondrous and I can now experience a tremendously improved quality of life. I know that he will help others with the outstanding care and commitment he has given me. It was an honor to know him. I want to convey to others the sincere respect I have for the care he has given me.
