After major surgery, I wasn't sure what to expect from in-home care — but Home Instead exceeded every expectation. For nearly two weeks, my Care Professional was an absolute lifeline during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. From personal care and hygiene to meal preparation and medication reminders, every need was met with genuine attentiveness and zero judgment. What stood out most was the kindness and compassion that came through in everything they did. It never felt clinical or transactional — it felt like being cared for by someone who truly wanted me to heal and feel comfortable. The companionship and emotional support meant more than I can express. Recovery after major surgery is hard, and having a warm, caring presence made the difficult days so much more manageable. I cannot speak highly enough about The Smith Family Home Instead agency. Every caregiver they have sent to care for my 83 year old husband with both dementia and cancer have been top notch. They are so patient, kind and willing to do anything to help make this stage of his life a positive one, while releasing a lot of stress for me. I highly recommend them!

Shout out to acknowledge the great caregiving by my father’s Home Instead “Care Pro” and the awesome support of the rest of the team of the Olympia Home Instead Office. My father, a 92-year-old veteran, has been on hospice since April, and I needed additional help with his care. A VA program that he was eligible for provides professional home healthcare aid, and that’s how Home Instead came into our lives. THANK GOODNESS! Home Instead has made a difficult time in our lives more bearable. We love our "Care Pro". When our regular “Care Pro” is unavailable, another is assigned to fill in, so we have continued care. If you are looking for professional, compassionate in-home care for your loved one, we have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.

Home instead helps us out with the care for my dad. They are good at showing up on time. They are very helpful and friendly. They know they are there to help out and take over. We nice to be feel comfortable leaving my dad. And knowing he is in great hands.

Excellent home care service. Very dependable. Each care pro is very kind, helpful and always considerate. I can always rely on them taking care of my personal needs and home environment. When calling into the office, they always assist me in rescheduling, even on short notice. I really appreciate their flexibility and understanding.
