For the last three months, I have had several aids from HOME INSTEADwatch my wife for several hours while I either went shopping or played golf with friends. The care given by the aids taking care of my wife was exceptional. They showed true compassion and made the effort to keep her busy By doing puzzles, taking walks, or drawing with color in a coloring books. Chantel, One of the aids she saw most often was truly exceptional. She would bring in her own materials to work with my wife during the day to keep her mind occupied. When Chantelle heard that I was moving my wife into a full-time memory care facility right in my area she was saddened, but asked if she could visit her to help the transition. That truly means a lot to me. I highly recommend HOME INSTEAD to anyone that needs help with a loved one who has dementia or in my wife’s case, Alzheimer’s. John.

Home Instead has been invaluable for my parent’s aging. Our home care provider, Valerie has been outstanding. She provides companionship, cleaning, and shuffling my folks to various doctor appointments, grocery shopping and other errands. More, importantly my parents lover her and value what she does for them. Home Instead has also been flexible for scheduling changes and have been very helpful answering various questions we had over time. Great experience!

We have been so happy with Home Instead; wonderful communication and so responsive to any changes to schedule. Huge shout out to our mother’s main caregiver Cindy. She is so responsible, also great at communication, works very hard every shift, and continually goes above and beyond. Most recently, my mother had thumb surgery (unfortunately when we were out of the country). Cindy changed her schedule so she could take my mom to her surgery, be with her all afternoon and then take her home that evening. My mom adores Cindy and so do we all!

My family recently used Home Instead for a couple of months to help my mother after she came out of the hospital. She was in need of around the clock care because she was very weak and not able to stand or move around well on her own. Home instead was wonderful. We had great interactions with many of the staff who cared for my mom as if she was their mother. Unfortunately my mom recently passed away, but the time that Home Instead spent with her to make sure she wasn't alone is priceless and I could never ask for anything more. Thanks for everything.

We feel we won the lottery when we hired Home Instead to care for our loved one! To others Home Instead might be a “business “, but to his family we felt it was more like a group of dedicated, caring, professional workers whose goal was to meet his every need. Because of his incredible care, our loved one died in his home as he so wished. We feel humble and grateful to have partnered with Home Instead in Chapel Hill.
