It’s taken some time to come up with the words to thank Hilltop Springs for the care and kindness they gave to my mom. Sadly, she was only there for three months, but it was the best three-month experience that she and I had during this most difficult time of life. As a son who thought he could “do it all,” well, I was wrong. I learned that it’s okay to ask for help. So how do I decide where to turn over the care of my most precious loved one, who raised me and cared for me all my life? How do I walk away from a visit and feel confident that she will be taken care of in a manner that is up to my standards? It’s a very tall order! From the moment we showed up for a tour, I felt at ease. Livia greeted us, made us feel welcome and at home, explained everything, gave us a tour of the awesome facility… and Mom and I both loved it. It was the perfect fit I was looking for. With the care, location, and beautiful new facility, it checked all the boxes. This was the toughest decision I’ve had to make, and I didn’t want to have to move my mom again. We moved into the assisted living side. If and when the day came that she needed memory care, that was in the same facility… no moving. This was the last move we would have to make. The care team was amazing. They would pop in and check on Mom all the time. You’d think they had known her for years. They got to know her, listened to her, and engaged with her. Very kind. Due to being on oxygen, she needed help via wheelchair to get anywhere. One push of the button, and they were there to assist her. As family, we can’t be there at every moment, so it’s comforting to know someone is watching out. The care team noticed my mom wasn’t acting right. She was sick, had a fever, etc. Unfortunately, I was in an area where my phone didn’t get the call. They called an ambulance, got her to the hospital, and handled everything exactly as we had planned in advance. Their professionalism and quick response made all the difference. Sadly, my mom passed away at the end of February 2026. Hospice came in and worked in conjunction with the Hilltop Springs staff. Her door was open, and she was never alone. I could tell everyone honestly loved and cared for my mom (and me). It wasn’t just a job to them. They truly cared. It has been five months, and I still get calls and texts checking in with me to see how things are going. I’ve attended some events there since Mom passed. They always remember my name, and they remember my mom. I know I’ll miss some names, but I can’t thank you all enough. From the very beginning with Livia, then the care team of Elena, Chris, Leticia, Josh, Jade, Melissa, and many more… I say THANK YOU!!! It takes a special type of person to do the work you do. You gave our family comfort and peace during this very difficult time. God bless you all!! THE WOOD FAMILY CRAIG WOOD

We decided to sell our home and move into a Retirement Community. We found Hilltop Springs. There’s numerous reasons to choose “The Springs “, but the most important is how it fits into our future. It’s a beautiful facility with eloyees who are always looking to help you if you need help. Selling your home and moving to an apartment is a major change in life style. The facility and dedicated employees makes downsizing from a 2500 sq feet to 1400 square feet easier. Our Mini-Schnauzer has adjusted quite well. Limit on the size of the animal but otherwise they are accepted as part of the community. Having a doggie parade with the 4th of July celebration. Looking forward to seeing them all dressed up. There are a lot of activities. A chapel, a library, movie theatre, game room with card tables , billiards table, a bowling alley, golf simulator, shuffle board, putting green, bocce ball court, Swimming pool and hot tub both with salt water, and a workout room. My wife loves the dining hall. Open 7 am to 7 pm with a special menu each day for each meal. If you’re not interested in the special for that meal you can select something from the menu. It’s like going to a restaurant. Still adjusting to the new lifestyle but certainly glad we chose the Springs.

Our mother became a resident at Hilltop Springs in Redding, CA, in January 2026. The entire Hilltop Springs staff has been timely in their responses to our family’s many inquiries regarding her living accommodations as well as helping our family determine the best level of care for our mother. We were provided several tours by Community Relations staff and the Executive Director who provided important information, and who patiently answered our many questions. The entire staff including the leadership team, receptionists, maintenance workers, restaurant servers, activity facilitators, and assisted living support personnel all strive to meet our requests cheerfully and timely, and they follow up with us to ensure that any tasks are satisfactorily accomplished. We are extremely grateful for how the Hilltop Springs community has helped our mother transition into a new, and often challenging, phase of life where she has made new friends, is cared for by a compassionate staff who have gotten to know her personally, and where she can reside in an environment conducive to her needs as a senior.

My elderly parents recently moved into Hilltop Springs and I can’t say enough about how happy my family and I are with everything, particularly the staff. Their motto is they are family, and they live up to that. They truly care about the comfort and well-being of my parents. In the short time my parents have lived there I have come to feel like everyone there is part of our family - Lorena, Stephen, Russell, Kathleen, Waniesha, Livia, Howard, Lisa, Tracy, Patty, Priscilla and Teddy just to name a few. I’m sure I am leaving names out - my apologies! There have been several instances already where my parents presented serious health emergencies and everything was handled professionally with compassion and with positive outcomes. Senior staff even went to visit my parents in the hospital! I highly recommend Hilltop Springs to anyone who wants their parents to be taken care of like family.

We attended Sundays harvest brunch at Hilltop and my mom and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and attention to detail was appreciated. When we remarked to the staff how good it was, they told us they have a new chef. Great job! The staff was so friendly and attentive. I have been to several events at Hilltop and this was the best yet. It is so refreshing to see happy staff, it made it that much more enjoyable. Hilltop will be my moms choice for senior living in the near future. Thank you Hilltop for the great hospitality.
