I used to love this place, the staff seemed so compassionate and welcoming to my love one and me for that matter. Now that my love one has been there for a year and is now bedridden and has to be transferred to appointments by stretcher I’ve ran into a lot of problems because she’s been missing appointments (that I have been to and she’s not) and when I called to get some understanding the Transportation Manager addressed the situation with a very condescending attitude and I was denied access or information to speak with her boss (Administrator). I’ve grown very frustrated and disappointed with this Facility and I have always felt like this was the best place for my love one (I now have reached some regrets).

The care team for my mother are top-notch! My mother gets 24/7 care, attentive nurses and CNAs. They are on top of any symptoms and communicates with me to let me know what their treatment approach will be. The office staff have an open door policy and always patient with my questions. The kitchen staff accommodate her dietary needs, the custodial staff keeps her room clean fresh, the maintenance staff are kind and are quick to fix whatever needs to be fixed (including when she messes up the input on her TV) and the environmental manager and her department ensures my mother’s are freshly laundered and even matches the outfits (she takes pride in her looks even at 94, always having to have her earrings on). I know we made the right choice in choosing Heritage Inn!

Heritage Inn of Barnesville truly deserves five stars. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and genuinely cares about the well-being of their residents. From nursing to therapy to support staff, everyone is professional, patient, and kind. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well-organized, and communication with families is clear and reassuring. It’s comforting to know your loved one is in a place where they’re treated with dignity, respect, and kindness every day. Corey, the facility’s new Administrator, is also a great leader and provides a hands-on approach with residents, families and visitors. Lastly, I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care and superb customer service!

Update 8/2/24: We had a care plan meeting this morning with the administrator and medical supervisor team. The Administrator seems very compassionate and supportive. He handled himself with a calming demeanor and seemed sincere in wanting to resolve issues at hand. He voiced concern and resolution with respect and ended with a plan that I am hoping and trusting will improve things for my sister and myself. We left the meeting feeling we had been heard and our concerns were valid. That’s a plus! Update: 8/1/24 my sister has been in this facility for a month now and there hadn’t been any change in the care she should be receiving. I have to call this facility almost everyday to report the lack of care she is receiving. I’ve spoken with the DON, SS director the wound care specialist and have been told they are checking on things and will improve. DO NOT send your loved one here if they need any medical attention because they won’t get the care needed. !!! My family member has been in this facility less than a week and she is not getting the medical attention she needs. I’ve spoken with management numerous times and the lack of care continues. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who is sick and needs medical attention
