My great aunt has been a resident of the memory care unit for a few years. The transition to the new ownership was challenging at first, but we’ve seen tremendous improvement since the new administrators and directors came on board. They seem more dedicated to providing quality care and improving the environment for all residents. Heritage Grove is definitely moving in the right direction.

Old, under new ownership. Their saving grace is having dedicated and caring employees. But, the turnover has got to stop! My mother was there during the transition. Agency staff seemed to lack basic instruction, didn't identify themselves and were confused. Regular employees picked up the slack, but some of the best left. Get it together, HG!

Sent a patient who was unable to sign or speak clearly ir advocate for herself to the emergency room in St. John’s in a non medical transportation. No caregiver or medical person with her. Literally patient dumped.

My mom has been a resident at McCrite since 2021. She started out in assisted living, and is now part of the skilled nursing community. The staff at McCrite, and I’m talking EVERYONE, is amazing! They understand this season of life is difficult and they do EVERYTHING they can to create a thriving environment where care, comfort and community are daily finish line. Beautiful campus, comfortable living spaces and people who truly care. McCrite is wonderful!

We've had our mother in McCrite for two months now, and it has been a very good experience from all perspectives. Like many new residents she was very hesitant about leaving her home and making a permanent change. McCrite staff made a tremendous effort to make her feel comfortable and introduce her to other residents, activities, etc. The food is very good and always available for any schedule, the facilities are very well maintained, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. My mother is getting limited assisted living services directly in her 2 bedroom apartment, which is a unique advantage of McCrite in this area. As a result the staff are in her room checking on her and assisting with any needs, which has made her feel much more comfortable and at home now.
