I have been a client of Heaven Sent Home Care for 12 months in my recovery from a spinal cord injury. As my recovery continued, care requirements have gone from nearly 24 hour care to only a few shifts a week. My intake was done by Angela Rosa took the necessary time to familiarize herself with my needs to better able to both schedule and assign caregivers who would be good matches to my personality and care needs. Initially, when my schedule was regular and known in advance Heaven Sent supplied me a monthly schedule listing the caregivers assigned and their professional credentials. Later, as my schedule became less well known to me, the Heaven Sent office was able to accommodate, even at the last minute, any requested changes. Over the course of the last year I have had four individuals, all CNAs or PCAs. They have provided excellent personal care, shopping and cooking, help with housekeeping, and driving to medical appointments. Each one has been experienced, skilled, dedicated, caring, and trustworthy. I should add that each one I would have loved to have stay but each left because of understandable life changes such as needing a regular schedule or having a baby. Each time Heave Sent has found another excellent well matched person. My current caregiver has been with me seven months and is so good at what she does that she has become part of my family, One test of an agency is what happens when there is a mismatch between the caregiver and the client. This happened to me and Heaven Sent addressed the issue immediately and found an appropriate substitute. Finally, while often not considered, and important aspect of the home care (and all) industry is the treatment of the employees. All of the caregivers from Heaven Sent have told me that they are well treated, fairly paid, and happy with the company, I believe that is as important as the other facets of care discussed in this endorsement.
