Although this is my first visit, initially walking in you’re greeted with a smiling face. The birds are a great touch in the entry way. The staff have been very helpful. This unfortunately is my mom’s second stay in a rehab facility and already this is a much better experience than the first time.

My brother has been a resident at HHR almost 3 months. He is doing great! The staff are kind, compassionate, caring and assure that his needs are met. I am thankful that we chose HHR for my brother as a long-term care facility. There was much debate in the beginning but I am sure we made the right decision as to his long-term residency. The admissions staff made his admittance easy and hassle-free and the greeters at the door are always smiling and so friendly. The facility is always clean with pretty decor. No regrets.

I try to visit my aunt whenever in town. The staff is always pleasant and professional. The facility is clean and seems to really take care of their patients! They seem to do really great activities for the community. My family and I had just missed an Easter egg hunt when we arrived.

My mother is at Hartwell Health and Rehab. Her mind is good, so she can really understand what is going on down there. She has problems walking and standing so she in a wheelchair all the time. She really likes the lady name Melinda that is over actives down there she can color, play bingo, and cooking with Melinda is really fun, they done pizza the other day so that helps make her day go by fast. She likes the singing when people come down there also.

Our family wanted to share our feelings about this home in hopes that it may help others in the painful position of trying to find a skilled nursing facility for their family member. Our Mom had Alzheimer's, but this home cares for a variety of illnesses and offers rehab services as well. We decided to move Mom from her nursing home in Atlanta in late 2019 when the Management changed leadership and we were unhappy with her care. Finding a good place, regardless of location, was our priority. We read good things about Hartwell Health, but we were skeptical after our most recent experience. We found Hartwell to be a breath of fresh air. The staff was so warm and kind, the facility was really clean, all the residents looked well cared for and happy, the food looked great, so we decided to give it a shot. It was a true blessing that we made that decision. No one could have predicted that 3 1/2 months after Mom moved in, that we wouldn't be able to see her for a year! It was rough, but the staff at Hartwell did an amazing job! They kept us in the loop with text, email and phone calls, face-timed with us, arranged for in-person, but distanced visits when possible. But the most important thing they did for us was act as our stand-ins when we couldn't be there with her. They gave Mom love, compassion, and most importantly, treated her with dignity. Recently Mom was placed in hospice as her health declined. She passed just a few days ago and although we are still very sad she is gone, knowing she was in good hands while we were apart gave us great peace. We really love the staff at Hartwell Health and will forever be grateful for them. Thank you , The Family of Muriel E.
