My mom was a resident at Harborview for a year and a half before she passed away of heart failure in May of this year. Harborview was truly her home away from home, she loved it there and was loved there. EVERYONE, from the custodial to the nursing staff treated her and treated her with the utmost respect. My mom had two total knee replacements earlier in life, and with age, arthritis and degeneration set in. The Physical Therapy Department worked with her with diligence, knowledge and love, and helped her gain so much more of a quality of life with the quantity of life that she had left. I’m forever grateful for the dedication from Brande, Wendy, Heidi and Morgan for showing her love and support. She was able to attend her beloved activities with precious Maddie and her best friends and all the residents. I miss my mom…but, I miss Harborview, it was part of my daily routine as well. In fact, I still follow them on their Facebook page, and look forward to seeing their posts.

I had a really great experience while I was under their care. I was treated like I was their own family member and everyone had respect and compassion. The therapy department is PHENOMENAL. Wendi, Brande, Heidi, Morgan did excellent work and know what they are doing to help you get your strength back so you can go home with your family. I was in the nursing home for almost 4 years before I came home to stay with my daughter as my caregiver.

I love this therapy department! Brande, Wendy, Heidi and Morgan are the dream team. They are fun creative and bossy when they need to be. They go above and beyond for all the residents and are successful in getting them as independent as possible. I love and miss those ladies.

My mother is currently a resident at this establishment and is very happy there. The nursing staff takes excellent care of her and if there is ever a question or concern, they are quick to respond. But I specifically wanted to mention the therapy department. She entered with a broken hip and 2 pelvic bones. Due to a medical condition she could not have surgery to “fix” these issues but had to instead recover the old fashioned way…time and effort. Immediately on her admission the therapy staff (Brande, Heidi, Wendy and Morgan) began formulating and implementing a plan to help her overcome these issues and began to walk again with confidence. Not only the walking but Heidi also offered help with her broken right shoulder that did not conjoin. Brande offered physical help but also emotional support with the sharing of her dogs, specifically Asher. Mom lights up when she speaks of Asher. These ladies not only are professional but have become members of our family due to their support and love for our mom. The therapy program at this facility is known community wide as the absolute best option for recovery for your loved one. My mom is now a long term resident and is walking as well as before her fall but these ladies continue to check on and support her. This gives me assurance that my mom is very well cared for at Harborview. Also I might mention that Maddie who is the activities director does an excellent job of keeping the residents engaged in everyday life with activities geared toward holidays and interacting with each other.

My experience has been pleasant for considering the situation. As my dad was ill and leaving this Earth, Harborview was incredibly professional, compassionate, and easy to work with. They had only his best interest in mind and worked with the two of us to treat him with the best care he could ask for. As we moved toward the end, I worked with Andrea Payne to help with the paperwork for Medicaid; she made it painless and was a true blessing. All of the nursing staff were fabulous and I would type for days thanking all of them by name.
