My dad moved to OBM years ago and it was the perfect place for him. (Review on the OBM page). Due to his continued cognitive decline, he needed to move to HH over a year ago. Like OBM, it is a hidden gem. The small size allows staff/residents to really know each other and the staff is amazing. The aids are truly compassionate, work well together and are constantly helping someone. I live close by and frequent the facility several times a week for short visits. No matter what day of the week you visit, the aids are all fabulous. The med techs are part magicians in helping the reluctant residents take their meds while maintaining an upbeat personality. The activities director Jill works hard to keep everyone entertained and engaged. Krystal and the administrative staff are exceptionally helpful in every respect and go above and beyond to answer questions and put the resident's family at ease knowing their loved one is well cared for. If you are looking for a place for a family member with dementia, look no further, you will be happy you choose Harbor House.

My mother lived here for the last year of her life and from the day she arrived she felt comfortable and at home. We tried home care and it just wasn't a good fit for my mom who had dementia. As a family we struggled with the decision to move her to a facility but it was the best decision ( I wish I would made sooner). Mom was very difficult at home but at Harbor House she fell in love with the staff and really enjoyed the socialization with other residents. She was always clean and well fed and cheerful. I was able to visit her daily if I wanted to and I could participate in the many activities they had for the residents. She didn't sit in her room. She was as active as she could be and it did my heart good to see her so happy in her last year alive. I am forever grateful to the staff at Harbor house for loving and caring for my mother.

After losing our father, my mom and dad were married for over 60 years. We found Harbor House and as bad as things were with my mom, it was like a miracle took place. The team at Harbor House are some of the most compassionate, sympathetic, competent and energetic people I have ever met. Everyone treats my mom with respect, dignity and compassion. Harbor House has been such a blessing to my entire family and especially my mom. The staff also is so highly skilled and they know how to deal with all situations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is and how terrific the caring compassionate staff is at Harbor House. My mom is in great hands and my family can sleep well at night again because of Harbor House

There’s no harder task than finding the right place for your loved one. Fortunately I found my dad’s place at at the Harbor House. I knew Harbor House was the right place for my dad the moment I spoke with Melissa. She answered all my questions & immediately put me at ease. Melissa & Krystal make you feel like family. Darnell goes above & beyond making sure my dad is well taken care of and all his needs are met. There’s such a great relief knowing your parent is being cared for with kindness & compassion. T

My mom has been here just about a year. The former 'assisted living' place she was at was a nightmare and I was skeptical that anywhere would be better. Well, Harbor House has been a Godsend! They have an attentive and caring staff! From the moment you walk in, the place gives you a warm and comfortable feel. Everyone is friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your loved-one comfortable and cared for. The activities and meals are great too! Carol Roberti was wonderful, walking us through everything and doing her best to make everything right for my mom and us. Wish there were more places like this one!!!
