This Is the bad place in the earth they dont really takes cares of yours family member's when they are stay with the treatments or etc....for example They can send out the patient when ever without notice family members, they dont cares. Ours beloved Father was gone in a whole Day and night..please don't go this place its scary and We might sue these guys and this Nursing Center....they dont have Aloha Spirit in their Heart lol....The Admen 👎👎👎

My husband was at Hale Nani Rehab& Nursing Ctr for about 70 days - He was transferred there from Queens West Oahu We were apprehensive of how his care would be It was his first time away from the family . The compassion & patience of the caring RN’s especially Demi RN & Michael RN with the very hardworking CNA’s Cris,Puri,Paris Jerwin Mildred made it easier for us .He came in with a sore in his butt but because of the excellent care of the above CNA’s. It dried up and came home without any bedsores .The social worker assigned to my husband shouldn’t be in this kind of health care facility She was very unprofessional and.a disgrace to Hale Nani ‘& to her profession I I’ appreciate the kindness compassion & Understandjng of your Business Manager. Who ensured my husband a. Veteran financial ‘responsibility is properly assigned to the VA.

This was my 2nd time to stay here for rehab. I decided to come back to recover and rehab from a stroke that I had about 3 months ago because I was familiar with the facility, knew some staff, CNAs, and RNs. This time around, I was grateful for the CNAs, who treated me like family, and the nurses who kept up with all the medicines I was prescribed. I also appreciate the therapists who worked with me to be able to walk again and get stronger. I couldn't walk when I first got there. I was very upset and disappointed because I was discharged to go home without a caretaker and my ADA bathroom renovation was not ready yet. I tried to appeal Hale Nani's discharge orders and talked to Frank, the director of Hale Nani, and explained what I felt was not enough time for me to be ready to go home. Then he came back to me and said that if I wanted to stay longer, I'd have to pay $700+/day! My insurance company never sent them a letter to tell them they were gonna stop paying for me to stay there! I was able to get my wheelchair and bedside commodeon my discharge date, but my handicap transport service did not come. I felt they took too long to arrange my transport which resulted in me canceling the search for a ride home and had to ask my 17 year old son to help me go home! If I ever need to go to a nursing home and rehabilitation facility, I'll be choosing somewhere else.

When I first arrived, the place smelled like adult shishi everywhere, but I assumed that was common in care homes. Maybe I just wasn’t used to it since I was the youngest short-term patient there. The beds were old and not as comfortable as hospital beds, but I was able to sleep better once I brought my own blanket and pillow. That was the only downside. The upside was the amazing service. The staff, mostly 90% Filipinos, were all friendly and caring - from the nurses to the CNAs to the physical & occupational therapists. They treated me like family & made me feel at home. I had broken my tibia and fibula, undergone major surgery, and had my leg in a splint. I couldn’t walk, but after two weeks of physical therapy at Hale Nani, I grew stronger. Therapy was scheduled once or twice per day, but since I was eager to get stronger & return home to work on our family business & care for my three kids, I pushed myself to do 4 physical therapy sessions daily and the staff were very supportive. The therapists didn’t discharge me until I could climb stairs, since my room at home is on the third floor. I almost fell twice during physical therapy because they were training me to hop while using crutches, but they caught me every time! And I’m not light—I’m a 140 lb, 5’6” tall woman. They offered activities to entertain patients, but I only participated once. I think I enjoyed my stay because it was the calmest two weeks of my life—no kids screaming and no work to do. After years of working and being a mom to three little ones, my brain and body finally got the rest they needed. When it was almost time to leave, the staff told me they were sad to see me go and wished I could stay longer. They treated me like a friend or family member, and I hope to visit them again one day to thank them.

What an amazing place to get well! I’ve been in a handful of others due to a chronic illness and Hale Nani is one of the best hands down. The nurses and staff are incredible! So caring and amazingly thoughtful, they make a difficult time in your life much better. The food is fabulous and the menu is always changing so there’s no eating the same thing day in and day out. The PT, OT and speech services I had were top of the line. Such caring therapist who go above and beyond. They have great daily activities for you to enjoy. From blackjack and other card games to movie nights. Daily crossword puzzles are given to also keep you busy. For those missing there animals they have a dog that comes to visit every now and then to cheer you up. While nobody wants to be in a care facility it’s really great knowing if that happens there is a really amazing place here in Hawaii to stay and get well. Many mahalos Hale Nani for your incredible care services and for your amazing staff taking such great care of me!!!!
