We transferred our father to Vonderlieth from another facility near Decatur. Former facility stated our father would never go home, at one point was deemed hospice ready, almost needed an amputation, and was plateaued on rehabs. All of this within 5 months. 8 months in long term care at Vonderlieth and he is set to transition to supportive living, with hopes of being back in his home in a few months. Every bit of Vonderlieth is amazing, from the administration, nursing care, therapies, and every staff member. All levels were attentive, communicative, and concerned. Cannot say enough about the CNAs and nursing staff in particular. They have done a remarkable job. Probably what is best is the long tenured staff. Two of the CNAs that worked with our father most had 8 or more years in the same facility. This facility may not be in a bigger town (Decatur, Springfield, or Bloomington), it absolutely worth it.

Our mother has been in the Mt Pulaski nursing home for a year and a half. We are very pleased with the care she gets and with the kindness of the staff. They are on top of all situations and always call about any issues. It is clean and it is obvious the staff cares about her. We looked at other places and talked to other families and we firmly believe she is in the best place for her

I recently spent about 2 1/2 months at Vonderlieth for short-term rehab following a fracture. I couldn't have asked for a better place to convalesce! The care I received there was great! Every staff member was friendly and eager to help. The facility was clean and well-maintained. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of short term rehab or who has a loved one in need of long-term nursing care!

Cannot speak highly enough of the quality of care our loved one received over a number of years while resident at VLC - staff was loving and caring to a fault - even through the pandemic when the burdens were greatest. Our family had been part of the Richland Community College dance group for several years prior to our loved one joining the resident community at VLC, and there is no question that VLC is by far the best continuum of care community in the central Illinois area!
