So my 84-year-old mother broke her hip and needed rehab. When we checked her in she had a sore on her bottom 1 cm when she left it was at 7 cm I think the doctor at some point should have said this is not working I need to change course (but that's just my opinion). After a week they were scheduled to take my mother to a doctor's appointment I was going to meet them at the doctor's office they called and wanted me to take her because someone called in sick and they were short a driver, upon my arrival I noticed a transport van parked in front door open gentlemen loading Christmas decorations in the transport van I thought this is nice they're short of driver and yet they're loading Christmas decorations into a transport van. Later that same evening me and my sister were walking out they had started replacing the carpet had nothing blocked off no sign nothing I stepped out on what was now concrete with adhesive and walked directly out of my shoes literally and almost my socks and everyone just stood and looked at me like I was in the idiot (this whole experience was rather embarrassing to say the very least). Several more things I could go on about but I think this is quite enough.

My husband spent almost a month at Grand Valley Rehabilitation. The staff was great with us starting with working on getting him approved by insurance to get him admitted. The care he received while there was very caring and I honestly never worried about him while he was there. They worked with him to get comfortable using a walker, wheelchair, and our knee scooter. They also came to our house to help with what we may need to adjust for him. The office staff kept us informed and helped with transition. The nurses and aides were so good to him. I would come in and they would be joking with him. They were good to explain things to him as well. The facilities was always clean and the food was good. They always seemed to have activities going on and that was nice to see.

Huge facility. They could treat their employees better. Lot of people who have been there for a long time. Can't seem to keep consistent people with residents...
