My dad lived here for the last 2 months of his life. He was treated with so much love and kindness. I could really tell that the people who worked here cared so much about him and our family. When he passed, the owner came as soon as he found out at 3 am to say he was sorry and make sure we were okay. My family and I are eternally grateful for the staff here! Also, very cozy and feels like home!

My mother passed away last week after spending seven years at Golden Home. I am taking the time to write this review because I feel very appreciative of the quality of service they gave my mother during this time. We were originally directed to Golden Home by senior advocates that support patients living in supportive housing in Marin County. They said that Golden Home was among the very best. We completely agree. It is not a fancy place although the new owners have made steady improvements resulting in a very nice interior and exterior. The rooms are more spacious than those in many newer buildings. What really sets Golden Home apart are the people. The person to person quality of care is without equal (we've been through this with 4 parents, we know). The stability of the staff has been exceptional over this seven years which is very rare in the assisted living environment and very important for older people with dementia. Take the time to look at Golden Home and talk to the people there. If it is a personal caring environment you are looking for this is a top choice in Marin.
