My wife has been at Golden Hearts almost 3 months and so far I have been pleased with her care and for the most part the staff, although I wish there were female staff on weekends. I love the musicians that come Monday thru Friday to entertain, it is a real blessing. Overall I give Golden Hearts an A-.

For our family, putting dad in any home other than his own home was a negative. My mind was changed by Golden Hearts. Dad went from living in a hospital bed at home for five months without getting out of it to being up in a wheelchair and even standing up to shower immediately upon his arrival at Golden Hearts. The staff and residents became very dear to us over the eight months that dad lived there. We were welcomed to visit almost any time that we wanted to, and were always very warmly greeted. As time passed, we realized that the staff members were very loving and developing sweet relationships with our dad. The size of the facility is especially wonderful. It allows you to become a part of a community instead of just a resident that is possibly overlooked in the shuffle of some of the larger places. Especially as a dementia patient, it was important that we knew dad was not being left to lay in his room endlessly. They offer quality engagement opportunities. We especially enjoyed visiting dad during music time and being treated to the entertainment as well! Golden Hearts kept a good eye on dad and helped us recognize when we needed to consider changing hospice services. Dad‘s room was always clean, he was always cared for, he was well fed. We were notified anytime there was a concern. All of our family members strongly recommend Golden Hearts.

Golden Hearts is a wonderful home for our father. They take incredible care of him. He is safe and well taken care of and we do not worry about him when we are not there with him. The owners, George and Pauline, are family to us as well as their entire staff. They provide gentle, loving care for their residents.

My mom was at Golden Hearts for more than two years. I cannot call it a facility because it is a HOME with staff that treated my mom and our family - like family. I always knew my mom was safe and well taken care of. She was treated with grace and dignity until her final days. God Bless George and Pauline for the home they provide for our loved ones.
