Gilman Healthcare Center

Gilman Healthcare Center is a 99-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Gilman, Illinois, just off Interstate 57. Since opening in 1969, the facility has grown from 49 beds to its current capacity and is fully Medicare and Medicaid certified. The center serves residents from Iroquois, Champaign, Ford, Vermilion, and Kankakee counties, with a mission focused on promoting healing and recovery in an environment that fosters independence and dignity.

The facility offers 24-hour skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services with an interdisciplinary approach designed to achieve functional outcomes and successful discharges home. Recent facility improvements include a new dining room and state-of-the-art therapy gym. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are available to support residents' rehabilitation goals.

Gilman Healthcare Center operates a Crossroads Program specifically designed for individuals with developmental disabilities and intellectual disabilities who require short-term rehabilitation therapy. This specialized program provides individualized care with quality therapy services and life skill training in a supportive nursing environment, helping bridge the gap between aging and developmental disabilities while working to return residents to their prior residences.

Beyond facility-based care, Gilman Healthcare Center operates a Meals on Wheels Program available to the local community. The program delivers hot meals five days a week for a small fee, ensuring accessible meal options at reasonable prices for nearby residents.
