Gentiva Hospice is an amazing resource for those in need of hospice services. Honestly, I knew nothing about them until I reached out to my employers insurance company United Healthcare who provided their name to us. That was the day that our lives changed. I reached out to Gentiva Hospice and numerous area resources trying to get assistance, I quickly learned that the case load for what resources were available in our area were limited and were simply inadequate to meet the needs of so many people with dementia. My hope was that Gentiva Hospice would get back to us and be able to us. Well, not only did they get back to me, within three days we had medical devices, medical supplies and meds needed so that we could take care of my wife in our home including CNA’s and Nurses scheduled to visit our home to start the process of taking care of my wife. Their entire staff are so wonderful to work with, they truly care about the patient and make our family feel like they genuinely care about us as well. The staff is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly to us. Gentiva Hospice absolutely goes out of their way to provide the highest level care for my wife with amazing in home services. They are quick to respond whenever you have questions and immediately provide support when called upon. We enjoy all of their CNA’s, Nurses, especially our Case Manager who is wonderful, as is their Hospice Care Consultant. They made us feel from the first time that we met the staff like we had known them for years. Thank you so much Gentiva Hospice for building such a wonderful caring culture within your agency and for employing a staff who truly care about their patients and their families. You are all an amazing blessing to my wife and I and our entire family. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do.

Anytime I have ever reached out to Gentiva Hospice in Maine, I've received nothing but excellent response. Melanie Pomeroy is top notch! I have seen her with clients, if I am ever in need of Medical Hospice, Gentiva will be my first choice. So compassionate, very, very well trained!

Gentiva staff have been guiding us all along the way for the end of life hospice care of a family member. They've supported us with knowledge, presence, resources, and solid care. We have mostly had Amber for our primary aide and Kerri as our primary nurse, but whenever those people can't make it, Gentiva's staff provide fill ins. The whole organization can access that information digitally so we know who will be coming in. They have been very responsive. We've called a few times and have had immediate responses, with a staff member coming to the house each time. Gentiva staff always treat our elderly family member with dignity, kindness, and respect. I highly recommend Gentiva.

It's hard to find words to express how grateful our family is for Gentiva hospice. The staff team helped us get our dad to his beloved home for his passing - probably the most important wish he would have named. Every staff member was a wonderful blend of professional, knowledgable, and compassionate, and everyone went out of their way to make our dad's passing what he would want it to be.

Gentiva has been so helpful with the assisted-living residents I care for. They have been the compassionate voice for the families navigating the loss of a loved one and the peace for the residents during end of life care. They are knowledgeable and always available when the need arises. They have the calming presence needed for the staff and are so good about checking in. The relationships formed with the whole care team make all the difference in how end of life care is treated. I recommend Gentiva to anyone that is ready for Hospice Care.
