Ellen M. Leach Memorial Home is an independent senior living community offering one and two-bedroom apartments in Brewer, Maine. Founded in 1996 through a trust established in 1926 to honor Ellen M. Leach, the community operates in partnership with the Brewer Housing Authority and houses 90 residents across three wings.
The community provides daily meals, including a continental breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. with coffee, tea, milk, juices, cereals, breads, muffins, doughnuts and fruit, and a full-course lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in an upscale dining room. Three elevators and 12 laundry rooms are available for resident convenience.
Amenities include a library, activity room, fitness area, billiards room, beauty salon, and community room with a performance stage. The community room hosts weekly games, arts and crafts activities, events, and a book club. A greenhouse and sitting areas throughout the grounds offer additional spaces for residents to enjoy.
