Recently moved a family member to Gateway from another facility and we are SO happy with our decision. Everyone is so kind and the care he has been receiving has been phenomenal. The employees all seem to love working here and it shows in how they treat the residents. The nursing staff address any questions I have about his care promptly and professionally. Lots of engaging activities for the residents to participate in. It is an older facility, but it is very clean and well maintained. My family member reports that the food is scrumptious with generous portions. I've seen the bad side of the nursing home world, and this place is the opposite. As a medical professional of 20 years myself, I'm admittedly over-critical of the care my family member receives, and I genuinely recommend Gateway if you are looking for somewhere for your loved one to be cared for.

The staff are wonderful!! Physical therapy and the doctor could do more in my opinion. They do not communicate with you about how your loved one is doing (PT and Dr). Which is important. It should not be assumed that you know what is going on or that you just anticipate how good or bad your loved one’s condition is getting. Some of us hope to bring our loved one back home.
