I was there for a week, the scheduling was ridiculous and after commenting to the scheduler about a mistake on the schedule I was told she knows what she is doing (disrespectfully) and that I would have enough time to get from client to client. I got to one client's home that day and had another client waiting for me for 30 minutes because the scheduler in fact did not give me enough time to get where I needed to be. I had also lost a client and it was all because the scheduler did not want to recheck her work. Very unorganized.

There seems to be bad communication all around with this company--one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing kind of thing. It looked great in the brochure.

The care my mother has received was good at the start of using this company, however the more time has went on it has become more about the caregiver and less about my mom. She is supposed to receive care 4 days a week but the caregiver rarely works 4 days anymore. It’s always one crisis after another as to why she can’t be there. Leaving early is also becoming an issue. It is also very concerning how much time is spent on personal phone calls and texting. The most concerning is how many smoke breaks that are taken. The caregiver works a 3 hour shift. Honestly, you can’t wait til your shift is over? The caregiver goes outside for 20+ minutes at a time and leaves my mother alone which is a big no-no considering she has dementia! The company was contacted about this but only offered to change personnel versus correcting the problem. My mom really likes her caregiver and doesn’t want to change. This company needs to set rules for its employees regarding personal phone use, leaving clients alone and attendance. An unannounced visit during an caregiver shift would be a good idea as well. Chances are they will find the caregiver outside! UPDATE: the caregiver quit the company which was no surprise. The next caregiver sent misses days every week now. When you only get 3 hours, 4 days a week, this is significant. There does not appear to be a concern for the people that need this service, just the caregiver and their personal problems. If I missed that many days of work, I’d be fired plain and simple. Going to go with another company. This is ridiculous.

This place is about money, not people. They hired someone who did not pass the background check- I know because I ran my own background check on them after they acted very suspicious in my house! I fired them immediate, I was worried that I would be robbed. They save money by not performing background checks.

This is an emotional, difficult industry to work in. But that does not excuse a lack of compassion, quality, and patient care. I tried to provide honest, polite, constructive feedback on the care my family received, and was met with nothing but hostility. It’s truly so upsetting to know that people like this, with such little regard for the emotional, mental and physical needs of their patients, are allowed to care for others.
