If you're considering Foundation Senior Living, I can say with 1,000% confidence that you need not look any further.

I don’t write reviews lightly, but after nearly six months with my mom living at Foundation, I feel compelled to share what a truly magical village they have created. There is nothing anyone there could do to diminish my gratitude and loyalty.

When she first arrived, my mom was wheelchair bound and barely eating after emergency surgery. She was not just fragile physically, but also at a very low point in her recovery and independence. Today, she uses a walker, goes on Foundation field trips, enjoys full meals with her table mates, and even has evening visits with friends and other “villagers.” Watching that transformation has been nothing short of extraordinary.

After her hospitalization and inability to return to her independent living community, I searched all over the Triangle area for the right balance of affordability and the best environment to help her find her new baseline. The path was jagged and uncertain, but one evening after work, I walked through the doors of Foundation unannounced and met Tristan. She was an absolute delight. Although very busy, she stopped and gave me all the time I needed to answer my questions. She gave me hope, but I was still hesitant.

Over the months, I've come to realize that Tristan is the quiet force behind so much of what makes Foundation special. While Crystal is the headmistress who somehow keeps everything running, Tristan is the steady backbone beside her. Her calm presence, compassion, and unwavering dedication are felt in countless ways.

That evening, a visiting family member approached me and shared his own experience. He described his father's condition when he arrived and the remarkable improvements he had made since moving to Foundation. He spoke with the same joy and gratitude that I am writing with now. It was exactly what I needed to hear during such a vulnerable time. The burden of trying to decide where my mom would heal and hopefully thrive suddenly felt lighter.

Next, Crystal came to UNC Rehab to meet and evaluate my mom. Crystal was, and still is, amazing. I felt it that very first day, and I still do. Imagine the headmistress who somehow takes care of everything, all while wearing a smile so genuine and warm that you know it can only come from a kind heart. That's Crystal.

The road with my mom has not been easy. She has been diagnosed with early dementia while her body continues to fail her in different ways at different times. My husband, our two grown daughters, and I are the only family she has, and for a long time I felt like I was carrying the weight of caregiving alone.

When you have children, people tell you that it takes a village. That is true. What I'm learning is that raising a senior takes a village too, and that village must be strong. Seniors aren't nearly as cute as children. They can be grumpy and throw plenty of tantrums too! But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't doing this alone. I have the Foundation Village.

And when I say village, I mean everyone. I mean the maintenance man who calls my mom by name, the aides who care for her daily, the front desk staff who greet her with kindness, and Irene, the jack-of-all-trades who took my mom to Walmart, taught her how to drive the electric shopping cart, and somehow became our full-time family counselor along the way.

If this fairy-tale village sounds too good to be true, I assure you it isn't. For families looking for realistic, compassionate, and truly incredible care for their loved ones, Foundation Senior Living has been an answer to prayer.

Have there been bumps in the road? Of course. No place is perfect. But what matters is how those bumps are handled. Every concern has been addressed promptly, with genuine care and respect. That is why I want to shout from the rooftops how much I love and will forever be grateful for my magical Foundation Senior Living village.

Thank you, Foundation Senior Living, for loving my mom so well.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt welcomed. The staff genuinely cares about each resident and goes above and beyond to make them feel safe, comfortable, and valued.

The community is beautiful, clean, and offers a variety of engaging activities that keep residents active and connected. Communication with families is excellent, and we always feel informed about our loved one's well-being.

Moving a loved one into assisted living can be a difficult decision, but this team made the transition seamless and reassuring. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for quality assisted living services."

They allow their employees to go on social media live videos while on work grounds- in healthcare- threatening safety and inviting trouble to a place where people have to trust care and safety of our love ones. I saw the whole debacle as I went to visit my aunt. Cents Clark was the employees name. She was belligerent and very un professional. I do not trust her around my aunt and will follow up with proper leadership
