To the low life who wrote a scathing review, grow up and thank those trying to make your pathetic life a little better. I’ve had a loved one here for two years, and this review does not match our experience at all. Yes, no place is perfect and issues come up, but calling this facility a “petri dish of filth” and the staff “undereducated” and “devoid of professionalism” is wildly exaggerated and unfair to the people who show up every day to care for residents. The language in this review says more about the reviewer’s attitude than it does about the building. Every time we’ve had a concern, we brought it directly to the nurses or management and it was addressed like adults, not by posting a long rant online. The staff I’ve dealt with have been respectful, patient, and willing to explain medications, treatments, and care plans. If someone really believes there are “health code violations” and “condemnable” conditions, the proper route is the Department of Public Health, not a dramatic online story. For anyone reading this and trying to decide about placing a loved one: • Visit in person. • Talk with current residents and families. • Ask to see inspection reports and ask hard questions. Don’t let one angry, highly emotional review erase the countless quiet, decent interactions that happen here every day.

I was recently here for rehab after having a total knee replacement . I will never go back there again if I had too and I don't recommend you put any of your family members or loved ones here. The place is horrible as far as the nursing staff goes there was only a handful that actually like their job and care for the people, the food ,I wouldn't give to my dog if I had one. I do have too say the physical therapy department, housekeeping department and laundry staff are the most kind and friendly people in that place. I've had better treatment from my enemies then the nursing staff in that facility right down to the RNs and LPNs which often don't mark down the proper time they give you your meds Which when it comes to pain meds makes a big difference, because for instance if you got your pain meds at 5:00 but they don't mark it in until 6:00 that's an extra hour you have to wait when you're able to have them again, I went through this several different times to ware I got my pain medicine at 7:00 they didn't market until 10:00 so I had to wait an extra 3 hours before they would give me my pain meds,I was getting 5mg of oxycodone and they were treating me like an addict off the street when I would ask at my scheduled time,I would ring my buzzer and wait 20 min before someone would come and answer it, and when I tell the aid that I needed my pain meds it was another 45 minutes before the nurse come in to give them to me. There was a patient that had fallen,myself and her roommate put our call lights on, 15 minutes nobody came I had to use my cell phone to call the nursing home phone and tell them that the patient was on the floor in the bathroom,the following night at 3:00a.m. the patient was on the floor in her bedroom,I went to use the bathroom that connects the two rooms and I went to close the bathroom door to their side and that's when I seen her on the floor I made my way to the my rooms doorway after pulling my call switch and the patients roommate pulled her call light as well,I made my way to my room doorway and hollered hello hello up and down the hallways as I was in there for any replacement so I couldn't get around as well again the call lights had been on already for quite some time and 3:00 a.m.,it took another patient that wandered the hallways at night to knock on the window of one of the day rooms to tell them that I needed them and the aid came out I told her the patient was on the floor beside her bed so she decides to walk to the room to see so I mumbled, I guess there's no big emergency and it was then she picked up her Pace to a fast walk,my roommate for 3 nights in a row didn't get checked on for bed changing on the 3-11 shift,her breakfast tray was left in front of her one morning and I made a remark to the aid"she can feed herself"she said "yes" I stated since I've been there I always see her being fed,she leaves the room and the patient sat there not eating and just stared at the t.v so I finished my breakfast and then sat on her bed to feed her,she was on a thick liquid/pureed diet,she ate everything I fed her, I feel if I didn't do that they would have came in and collected her tray thinking she didn't want to eat,your drink choices for breakfast is coffee, tea or pink lemonade, for lunch and dinner your drink options are coffee, tea, pink lemonade, diet coke, ginger ale ,where is the nutrition in any of that for these elderly people,you're lucky to even get juice at breakfast if they have it, there are out of coffee creamer 90% of the time you're lucky to get a little packet of jelly or condiments for your food, sometimes you get one sugar on your tray sometimes you get 10 they would get better treatment in prison. There are many more horror stories I could tell about the care of the patients in this place but I will not get into it on here.

We moved my mother in law to Fall River Jewish a year ago. Since she has been there, they have gotten her sugars under control to the point where she doesn't need meds anymore and have been successful in getting her to want to get out of bed to get her hair done and other things for herself. No other facility has been successful in these things and we are grateful for the nursing and aide care there. Also, she loves the nurses and the aides, which says a lot about them! Lastly, this facility is clean and welcoming, and during each holiday it is made festive (loved Halloween!).

Very disappointing with the facility. I wouldn't send my enemy there. The disrespect from the staff was shocking. If you ask a question the response is rude . If you press the call button you wait 10 minutes for someone to respond . My parent was giving someone else dinner and when I stated that was not her name for the dinner I was told by the nurse it didn't matter for the name. I'm concerned for her safety of care . She was given a dinner of a turkey delivery meet on a hamburger bun with lettuce and cheese plain that looked old. The nurse said to my mother you don't want it then grabbed the tray and took it away plus this meal had someone else's name tagged to it. I asked for another option for her the nurse responded no and walked away leaving mother to have no dinner. The facility has a bad odor of urine and the floors are so dirty. The same dirty spots I saw two days prior are still visible and never been cleaned. I'm concerned for the air quality and personal care for not just my mother but other residents staying at fall river Jewish home on Robison street fall river ma. I'm very very concerned of my mother's health and care being taken. I'm concerned of the staff retaliation towards my mother. I'm am document everything and At this point I think the board of health need to visit this facility.

I personally had a WONDERFUL experience at the Fall River Jewish Home. Friendly staff and nurses, the care was exceptional. So much so that I frequently come to visit the staff and some of my friends who still stay here. They had a big dance party last week with a performer and that nurse Brittany can dance! It was a wonderful time getting to see the staff and residents dance and have fun! We all loved it.
