Ive had multiple relatives who have stayed here for their recovery from surgery and other rehabilitation needs. The staff was encouraging and helpful. The physical therapists and occupational therapists were excellent too.

It started out with the food. I didn't expect good food after being in the hospital for almost 2 weeks, but this was dog food. Cold eggs and the lowest grade of food that you could buy in bulk. There were bright spots among the staff, but they were so overworked at an 18 to 1 patient ratio that when you push the button and expect to see somebody at least in 10 minutes, I just had to wait an hour! If you ever loved one and are looking for a nice place that will be compassionate and caring and feed them food that they will want to eat and recover Don't bring them here! I wouldn't bring my dog here I definitely wouldn't bring my dog here! The PT stuff isn't bad but by the time that you get the CNAs to help you with your daily health needs, your time with a CNAs is used up. I'm stunned at the number of five stars, and suspect that they were posted by reputation salvation companies or by people that didn't actually stay here. I have difficulty with my hands and need food and bowls and it took me 4 days to get it coming that way. Then when they did bring it can you imagine getting a chicken salad sandwich with each half of it folding in half and stuffed into a 3 and 1/2-in bowl so that by the time you get it out it's falling apart no logic and the poor CNAs that deliver it just say well I came that way from the kitchen oh did I tell you that they eggs were rubbery?

Unfortunately I've had to visit a number of these types of facilities as friends and relatives require more care. This one is definitely on the higher end with well kept grounds, clean facilities, and friendly and helpful staff. It's located in a fairly quiet area and seemed more inviting than most as the buildings have lots of windows in the common areas. Lots of parking available and nearby stores and restaurants. Overall if you had to pick one of these places for some reason it seems like a good choice.

The place is terrible! Food is gross, dog food! The staff is rediciculious! Slow at getting medicine, getting anything is terrible. They are slower than a glacier, the food is so gross had to send it back many times! Can't even tell what is on the plate! So disgusting. They are the worst ever. Would not send my dog there let alone a friend or family member. Asking an hour before medicine is due it takes two damn hours to get it When the pain is so bad every minute of wait excruciating. There is no excuse for this. Don't go to this hell hole!

Good care especially by the night staff. Mark, the Physical Therapist, was very helpful providing exercises and guidance to quickly regain my mobility. He always had a cheerful and friendly attitude. The Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists were also very supportive and pleasant helping me with needed skills. The nurse in charge of my medications used humor to make me take the unpleasant pills. Some Nursing Assistants had attitude problems and were not gentle when helping me in the bed. The food was adequate but not flavorful. My stay at Fair Oaks HealthCare was acceptable.
