I had the pleasure of visiting with several residents and staff to at Avir of Corsicana (formerly Epic). I must say the residents that I visited with were clean, well dressed and happy during our visit. I would suggest Avir of Corsicana if you are looking for skilled nursing or long term care for yourself or a loved one.

My dad is a resident there and to say that he is a bit of a pill is putting it lightly. He is extremely difficult to deal with yet they take it all in stride and provide the best care possible for him. I couldn't ask for better care to be honest. When I say he is awful, I mean he is awful. Even to his family. Dementia is an awful disease. It takes even the most loving person and turns them into someone you do not recognize. Epic staff takes excellent care of my dad and I am so glad he is there. Once he came to a point we could no longer care for him at home I worried about what kind of care he would get but not any more.

if you need a place DO NOT take them here the nursing staff is not professional and they are always understaffed they leave my mother in her wheelchair all night sometimes and today they left her setting on the edge of the bed for 5 hours and and a couple years age they dropped her and broke her ankle all because the staff was not trained on the equipment to lift them.out of bed so I am actively looking for an attorney to try to help me out. And the state is no help they seem to let them scoot by every time they come and visit so yhe state is a joke. and sometimes the chicken they serve is raw around the bone. And she had a stroke and they never took her to the hospital to get her care . so if you can find another place to take your loved one somewhere else I am looking for another place for her to go.

My dad needed skilled nursing for a short period of time. The only reason we went to this place was due to COVID diagnosis and they were the only facility accepting COVID patients. BIG MISTAKE! This is the nastiest place! My father’s room and bathroom were not cleaned once in the 10 horrible days he was there! He needed clean sheets one night, I informed the nurse and was told they were out of clean sheets! Needless to say, we moved my dad as soon as we possibly could to another facility! The new facility has been a 150% better in every way!
