I reached out to Enlightenment after my Mom went on home hospice and we needed help providing 24/7 care for her final weeks. The office admin Paige was very responsive and helped get things moving quickly. I knew that the process could take a while to actually get help into the home, so I was anxious to get things moving. It took about a week to get the first care taker at the home, which is fairly quick as after talking with multiple different companies, it was made clear it just takes time to get people lined up (Visiting Angels was estimating 10-15 days). So if you're reading this and think you'll need help, just make sure to start the process sooner than later. We ended up getting two excellent care takers, Haley and Abbi. They were both life savers during the process, and we could tell they truly cared about my Mom and did everything they could to keep her comfortable all the way up until the end. It is not an exaggeration to say that we could not have done it without them, as it was truly a horrendous process, but they made it as smooth as it could possibly be given the situation. Haley was there with my wife during my Mom's final moments, and it was comforting knowing she had the support. Afterwards Haley stayed until the funeral home was able to arrive to take my Mom, and then stayed even longer to help clean up and made sure everyone was okay before she left. So overall it was a positive experience working with Enlightenment from a coordination standpoint, and specifically for the care takers we got, who were excellent.
