This is the worst nursing home I’ve come across. My mum was placed here out of the hospital. We would walk down the hallways to visit her in her small and depressed room and smell nothing but strong fecal matter. The staff never tended to my mum’s open wounds (which became infected) and never identified she had developed a urinary tract infection which landed her in the ER. And by the way, they didn’t alert me or my sisters for hours after they had her transported to the ER. The nursing home was unsanitary and depressing. My mum passed away after being taken to the ER. The nursing staff don’t pay attention to her enough to notice she was in dire need of care. She would have been here if they had taken better care of her. To top it off, her cell phone was stolen from her room. I called the HR department to talk with them about the whole experience, but they never returned the call. I beg of you to stay away from this place. My mum deserved better. All of our loved ones do.

The Embassy of Saxonburg has become a second home for me as I have had to place my mom here for the care she needed, I did all I could at home until I couldn't. The Embassy of Saxonburg was a God sent, mom is well cared for here and loved, I feel. I highly recommend The Embassy of Saxonburg, everyone there does a great job above and beyond, ALL of the staff work so very hard everyday and I see this because I visit my mom alot, they are a great group of people and I thank God so very much for them. It's very clean and well organized, lots of caring special people work here.❤️ Thank you all for all that you do!

My husband was transferred from another facility that was neglectful, and it almost cost him his life! Embassy is smaller, all the aides and nurses interact with the residents. They take time to know names and a little about who they are. My husband is happy and well taken care of. I saw concerns in some of the reviews about the urine odor. That happens at nursing homes, but it's not like that all the time! I'm very pleasant! Highly recommend

My family chose this facility for our father due to the ratings. Originally everything seemed amazing, The staff seemed amazing with the exception of Alex, who was always very short however the nursing, dietary, therapy and life enrichment department made it a clear choice for our family. The residents all seemed happy and occupied with their time. Within 2 months of placing my father there, The building had a change of administrators Three times! This was especially concerning. However, what became more concerning was learning that the director of nursing had resigned as well as the director of life enrichment within the same week. The results were obvious my father went downhill very quick. The facility has essentially given up hope on their residents. From the time we placed my father in this facility to 2 months later, it has been a 180 change. I honestly believe that the lack of leadership this building holds had a key parked in my father’s downhill demise and ultimate passing. He went from participating in every activity that the facility had to sitting in his room because they chose to do away with the activity program that he had become accustomed to.

The staff is absolutely super friendly, patient and helpful except for a few individuals that definitely make you feel like you’re bothering them … (There are always a few bad apples)… 5 stars for most of them. The odor hits you like a wall when you enter. Urine and diarrhea. OMG it takes your breath away. There was a mop and bucket in the hallway with black water. Change the water often, get a clean mop for goodness sake. The place needs a complete heavy duty cleaning and disinfecting from top to bottom. Remove all carpeting. It’s absolutely unbelievable. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. Again, the staff is very friendly and helpful for the most part. I think the employees must get used to the smell working there everyday. Not sure I ever could!
