I wish I could find the exact right words to explain how amazing this place has been. My dad recently passed away he was living in independent living and loved it. His aides who helped him where amazing, Betty and Kelly and everyone were like family to him, all the staff knew him and everyone was kind. When things started to go downhill for Dad the Ceo, Lindsey, Hannah and management went out of their way to help us in a dark time. My dad got to transition in his home surrounded by family, friends and the amazing staff that had a way of making us feel like this isnt something they go through all the time, even though it is, they took the time and compassion to explain everything,we so needed, even the nurse was in tears giving us information. It was something I will never forget. Thank you Elm Terrace Community!

I am writing a review for skilled nursing. They didn't provide the personalized care for my dad. They had him stay in a wheelchair all day and if he tried to get up, he would be told to sit. My dad was physically strong (the physical therapy had said) and could have used a walker but I believe the staff felt it easier for them if he was in the wheelchair. He didn't get the individualized care for his independence. I was told they didn't have the staffing. I admit he was there for a fall. Unfortunately also his mental health only declined being here because they had him on medication that was not compatible. Angela was the nurse who had a smile and cheery words. She had a good attitude. Shouldn't rehab be making them better? not worse

My sister has early onset Alzheimer's disease, and moved into Elm Terrace Gardens over a year ago. She is in independent living; a nice apartment of her own. The RESIDENTS are extremely friendly and supportive of each other, which makes for a lovely community atmosphere. The STAFF go above and beyond. When my sister forgets about activities, they will often come and find her when she doesn't show up, since she has trouble remembering; also, when she is upset or has a problem, there are staff (clergy, nurse, administrative staff) who are always there for her. With continuing care, I know that when it comes time for her to be moved into Memory Care, she will be well looked after as well.... in the meantime, they are making every effort to keep her in independent living and are willing to give her the extra help she needs in order to do that. I am so thankful that we found this perfect place for her to live well and be happy!

Have tried in past to post my review but seems like Elm Terrace only posts the positive reviews. Had both my parents in Elm Terrace for many years started out as independent and things were fine but once it got to personal care it was nightmare. Especially when resident was not fully cognitive. What we witnessed was verbal abuse, physical abuse and mental abuse. It’s been years since my parents have been there since 2019 & 2023 but the memories of what they put my parents through will always be there. Should you decide to place your love ones there just please monitor them…maybe use nanny cams
