About Elara Caring

Elara Caring provides skilled home health and hospice services to patients in Brighton, Michigan and surrounding communities across Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Saginaw, Shiawassee, and Washetenaw counties. The organization has served Michigan since 1995, bringing care directly to patients' homes rather than requiring facility-based treatment.

The skilled home health program focuses on recovery, rehabilitation, and health education, offering customized care for patients managing chronic illnesses such as heart failure, COPD, and diabetes. Services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help individuals regain or maintain independence, along with in-person visits for high-risk cardiac, pulmonary, and sepsis patients.

The hospice program provides individualized, compassionate care for patients with late-stage illnesses, emphasizing comfort, pain relief, symptom management, and quality of life. The care team takes a clinically driven, comprehensive, and holistic approach that recognizes each person as a whole. Emotional, spiritual, and practical support is extended to families and caregivers navigating their loved one's end-of-life journey.

Each patient's care plan is tailored to individual needs and health goals. Receiving care at home reduces stress and anxiety, often leading to increased satisfaction and wellbeing. The added support of in-home care allows for education and early intervention before a crisis occurs, reducing the risk of hospitalization.

Not a good company. I had OT/PT/Nurse scheduled for 6 weeks. Week 4, PT caused a new fracture. I was hospitalized and my recovery would take longer. They never called/they never came back!

It has been one headache after another and I still have yet to get a shower for my father in 4 weeks. No one has answers as to why when I call. I work in home care myself and this has been the worst experience iv had with a home care service. I highly do not recommend.

All staff at Elara Caring were very thoughtful, compassionate, kind, & knowledgeable in the care of my husband, until his death in December "2023." Last week, over a year later, I was surprised to receive a beautiful "Thinking of You," card, along with a package of flower seeds from Elera Caring! What a wonderful gesture! It really touched my heart! Thank you so much; you truly live up to your name!! I would highly recommend you!!!

Elara Caring Brighton, in home hospice. My 90 year old father passed in our home under the hospice care of Elara Brighton. The Elara staff was caring, professional, prompt and made this time of suffering and pain for both my Dad and our family, better in every way. Near the end, they were coming out to our home day and night bringing whatever was necessary to make my father comfortable and help us deal with his passing. Our journey with hospice began with interviewing 3 separate companies and we feel we definitely made the right choice. It has been just about a year now since Dad passed and today we received a card marking his passing with a seed packet for FORGET ME NOTS. Thank you so much Elara. For those of you thinking about letting your loved ones do hospice at home, I can assure you that Elara will provide everything from bed, to medical aids, medication and emotional support. 5 STARS

Nurse called my doc with medication issues but she got my meds wrong. Good thing I called myself, because this is very serious. I’m an open heart surgery patient. When I called to end service, person asked why and when I started explain long, just said yea and hurried off the phone. If you could give it no stars, I would.
