Edgewood Cedar View presents itself as a resident-oriented facility, claiming to prioritize each resident’s comfort and dignity. Sadly, this hasn’t been my family’s experience. The management team is often unavailable, and the staff's responses to family requests have been disappointing.<br><br>For instance, it’s routine for residents to be in bed by 6 PM several nights a week, regardless of individual preferences, and laundry is only done once a week, leaving some residents without clean clothes. Communication with staff has also been challenging; they often use jargon that’s unclear, making it difficult for family members to understand essential details. One example: they requested we provide "briefs" for my mom, which we later learned meant disposable underwear. When we expressed how important clear communication is, our concerns were brushed aside.<br><br>MY family paid cash for 10 months (very expensive) and one week after my mom was approved for Medicaid, they gave her a 30-day notice because the family could not afford to continue paying an adsorbent in kind monthly fee.<br><br>Many meetings were held to discuss the concerns in this review along with other concerns and they did not help.<br><br>If you’re looking for a truly attentive and compassionate environment for a loved one, I would urge you to look elsewhere.
