My mom has been a resident at Echelon for almost 1½ years now. I understand things may change after I write this positive review; however, the good people at Echelon deserve to be recognized. First and foremost, I want to thank the current management of Echelon: Sam, Eva, and Anita. These dedicated individuals always put their residents first and are readily available when issues arise. They listen attentively and find the best possible solutions to accommodate the residents’ needs. Their attentive customer service has eased many of my fears and worries. Nursing, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Kitchen are the backbone of this facility. The nurses and CNAs have some of the toughest jobs here. While I cannot name everyone, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Patrice, CeCe, Joel, Chi, and Anita--the Head Nurse from heaven! Joe, the Maintenance Manager, is always kind and willing to help. Eric, Raphael, Jerry, and Clarence are the hardworking bunch from the Housekeeping who have worked diligently to keep this old facility clean and comfortable every day. Kudos to them! The one-of-a-kind Asian Department, led by Grace, helps my mom feel at ease and loved. The staff work hard to make sure the elderly are comfortable. I am especially indebted to Lillian and Amy, who have consistently shown my mother and other residents their remarkable kindness, patience, and compassion. They truly are the unsung heroes!!! The food from the kitchen is actually not awful, as some of the reviews have suggested. On the contrary, the food is quite delicious. Both the American and Asian-style dishes are tasty, fresh, and comparable to good homemade cooking (after all, this is not a Michelin-starred restaurant). You can tell that the chefs put their hearts and souls into preparing these meals. I hope my mom will continue to live comfortably at Echelon, a facility that runs by caring, respectful, and dedicated people--including the front desk staff and the Activities Department! Thank you all for what you do!!! —🙏🏻Sky I do agree with the other reviewers that the potholes in the parking lot need to be repaired and that the facility could benefit from significant updates, especially the Dayroom on the 2nd floor!

I came from Delaware to visit my great great aunt and the CNAs that I spoke with about my aunt were very friendly, nice and attentive for the most part. Hopefully when I visit again I’ll get to meet her regular aide that takes care of her on a daily basis. Thank you so much for the care you all provide for my aunt !!!!!!

1. This place is dated & falling apart. Wires sticking out of the walls, electric sockets with half way in the wall looking like someone punched the wall in room 508 A. 2. The food is severed most of the time Lupe warm, Coffee tastes days old & usually Lupe warm. I call it prison food. 3. The agency they get their weekend nurses from are rude & horrible, waited over 2hrs for pain meds on a Sunday evening. They also hv no bedside manner, act as if your bothering them if you need anything. 4. I loved the weekday nurses & nurse aids. Millie & Jahar are amazing nurses & are always helpful & care about you as a patient. The Nurse Aids,: Margie,Rose are very nice & always willing to go out of their way to help you. The Head nurse Jackie is also very nice. 5. Layla the D.O.A. is very nice and helped me a lot while I was there. Also Grace I believe she is HR is very very sweet always made sure to come n check on me when she came in to see if I needed anything. She'd often personally go to the kitchen n bring me my dinner to make sure it was what I ordered. 6. Overall I do believe this place needs a lot of help with repairs & better weekend nurses & aids that will care about their patients & not just making the $$. I did hear yrs ago it used to be a good place before they sold it to Echelon. I was there for a week from the 7th of February to th.e 14th of February. Had a total hip replacement surgery on the 5th of February.. I left due to lack of care from the latenight Crew nurse aids.

My daughter stayed at Echelon for two weeks in their short term sub acute rehab section. Most importantly, the staff was competent, warm and eager to work out any glitches in care. Special shout outs to Delaney, Jackie, Sharon and Janelle on the fifth floor, Judy and Michaela in PT who got her walking, Jill who helped us with special dietary needs, Mahogany, our social worker and the smiling personable people doing transport and maintenance. Also Grace, the heart and soul of this facility. On the down side, the physical setting is old and in need of renovation. The elevators need an upgrade and the parking lot was treacherous in the recent snowy.icy weather. Being in rehab is difficult. The caring people at Echelon made a positive difference in my daughter’s stay!

My mother has been a resident at Echelon for about a year. She began her journey on the 5th Floor, also known as The Presidential Suite, and it truly lived up to its name. The atmosphere was bright, kind, friendly, and simply grand. After she completed respite care for a few months, I felt confident and at peace making the decision to transition her into full-time residency. After being there permanently for a few months, my mom was moved to the Memory Loss Unit. (Mom has dementia) From time to time, we experienced a few minor issues, but they were always addressed and resolved quickly. Even so, I continued visiting several days a week. As I developed relationships and friendships with the staff, my comfort level grew tremendously. You can genuinely feel that the staff truly loves my mother, and as a daughter, that means everything. A few months ago, we were blessed to meet Ana—my mother’s nurse’s aide—and from that moment on, everything changed for the better. Ana is truly a Godsend. She has far exceeded every expectation I could have ever imagined when it comes to my mother’s care. Because of Ana, I sleep well at night. She has given me a true sense of peace and relaxation, knowing my mother is not just cared for, but genuinely loved. My mom is always clean, dressed in fresh clothes, with her hair done, nails done, and looking well cared for—and so are Ana’s other patients. Ana’s professionalism, consistency, kindness, and loving heart shine through in everything she does. She makes all the difference for me and my family. There are also some truly amazing aides and nurses on the 3rd Floor whom I absolutely adore. While I may not remember everyone’s name, please know that my appreciation is shown and felt. The care on that floor is exceptional. Thank you, Ana, and thank you to the entire 3rd Floor Team for all that you do for my mother. Your compassion, dedication, and love do not go unnoticed. Echelon is truly blessed to have caregivers like you.
