My mom has been a resident at Echelon for almost 1½ years now. I understand things may change after I write this positive review; however, the good people at Echelon deserve to be recognized. First and foremost, I want to thank the current management of Echelon: Sam, Eva, and Anita. These dedicated individuals always put their residents first and are readily available when issues arise. They listen attentively and find the best possible solutions to accommodate the residents’ needs. Their attentive customer service has eased many of my fears and worries. Nursing, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Kitchen are the backbone of this facility. The nurses and CNAs have some of the toughest jobs here. While I cannot name everyone, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Patrice, CeCe, Joel, Chi, and Anita--the Head Nurse from heaven! Joe, the Maintenance Manager, is always kind and willing to help. Eric, Raphael, Jerry, and Clarence are the hardworking bunch from the Housekeeping who have worked diligently to keep this old facility clean and comfortable every day. Kudos to them! The one-of-a-kind Asian Department, led by Grace, helps my mom feel at ease and loved. The staff work hard to make sure the elderly are comfortable. I am especially indebted to Lillian and Amy, who have consistently shown my mother and other residents their remarkable kindness, patience, and compassion. They truly are the unsung heroes!!! The food from the kitchen is actually not awful, as some of the reviews have suggested. On the contrary, the food is quite delicious. Both the American and Asian-style dishes are tasty, fresh, and comparable to good homemade cooking (after all, this is not a Michelin-starred restaurant). You can tell that the chefs put their hearts and souls into preparing these meals. I hope my mom will continue to live comfortably at Echelon, a facility that runs by caring, respectful, and dedicated people--including the front desk staff and the Activities Department! Thank you all for what you do!!! —🙏🏻Sky I do agree with the other reviewers that the potholes in the parking lot need to be repaired and that the facility could benefit from significant updates, especially the Dayroom on the 2nd floor!
