I have no idea who the two negative comments are from as they apprently were trying to become care providers? I am writing about my experience helping my dad who moved to EMVH for almost 2 years. He died a month short of his 92nd B.D. 2013. He moved to EMBH because he was not safe in his lovely home. As North Dakota's oil well boom was drawing young people with high paying wages, there weren't enough people to hire for home healthcare. EMVH was an excellent choice. Dad liked it there. The facility cares for nursing home and assisted living folks. A separate area houses people Alzheimers etc. Dad was greeted when he moved in, and thanked for his service. He was told this was his home and he was cared for with respect. What I thought was neat was he was in a shared room and had his wife survived she could have moved in with him. One problem was the shortage of CNAs. As I live in California I wanted to take breaks and go home. I hired a counselor to check in on Dad regularly. She happened to be the daughter of a woman dad grew up with. That was exceptionally good move. Dad bonded with one of the regular caregivers. I was comfortable taking trips home knowing he was in good hands. Later after Dad passed, I read that the Montana VA homes were the best in the US.
