this is the best place ever. My grandmother, was on the verge of dying; in and out of the hospital with heart attacks and other health issues, not being able to move on her own and always so angry and upset. I moved her to Eagle to be closer to me and I can tell she's getting her medications like she's supposed to, she's eating again, she's even able to roll herself in a wheel chair up and down the hallways so she's not bed bound. She also tells me they treat her so well (which was not the case in other places). I even found her socializing playing bingo last time I went to visit her. I didn't think she had 6 months left in her. Now I think she could go another 6 years plus. I'm so grateful for the nurses and staff at Eagle. The place is always clean and you can tell all of them really care about what they do. Thank you guys so much for what you guys do. It does not go unappreciated.

My wife's father is in this nursing home. The financial person is fantastic to work with. She will guide you on everything you need to do. The social worker Miss Carly is a great help in making sure the patient has everything they need. The LPN that I love there is Nikki Hirds. She really cares about her patients and goes out of her way to make sure they are taking care of. The CNAs on Nikki's team help make sure the patients are attended to.

I've never been a fan of nursing homes, but Eagle Health & Rehabilitation has been breath of fresh air. More than a handful of the nurses and staff have been very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The first words out of my mother’s mouth when she arrived in the room for rehab was “This place is a dump!”. There was nothing on the wall facing the bed other than a TV and a very crooked mounted wall holder for the activity calendar. There was no shelf or place to put pictures of family or vase of flowers that she could see from her bed to help cheer and motivate her. The built in dresser was also positioned to where no one in the bed could see any items on top of the dresser, and the wooden drawers stuck and twisted making them very difficult to open or close. The bathroom appeared clean, but a strong smell of urine was always present. In addition to the room being totally depressing, not even one chair was present in the room for a visitor to sit. Missing also was the portable thermostat (finally brought days later from another room) or bed controls (brought to the room 2 weeks later again from another room) that my mother could use. Even the staff struggled to adjust the bed with the controls at the end of the bed. Shortage of equipment continued with the staff struggling to locate foot rests for the wheel chair. There also appeared to be a shortage of staff for let visitors enter or leave the facility and not even a door bell to press when leaving. Visitors just had to wait until a staff member walked by in order to leave. Although my mother was able to walk 25 feet upon arrival for the evaluation physical therapist and another 15 feet after resting, she failed to show progress after that day. A major cause of this was the difficulty we had getting the facility to add nutritional supplements to her diet until over a week after we requested this, resulting in continual weight loss and energy. My mother’s appetite was poor and though we were told we could select from a choice of food for her meals, nothing we ever tried to select were brought to her. The final straw was when I found one of her diapers on the floor on the far side of the bed. We made the decision immediately to locate a better place for her. That was probably a relief to the social worker who was continually pressing us for our plan “B”. While several of the assistants and the physical therapist were very kind and caring to my mother, the experience overall was very unpleasant. If you care for the health and recovery of you loved one in need of rehab, choose another place.

My moms been here for over a year now. It was a really hard transition for her and our family. I have to to say after a year later that she has settled in and made it her home. The nurses and aids there are like family and I really appreciate the care the workers and staff have shown my mother. Any problem that may arise is handled. Thank you Eagle Heath! K. R. Jones
